Great spacious home for a family that loves the outdoors. Beautiful views. Was a fun but quiet area. Only downfall, for us, was that it was tough for water access for fishing.

Great space
Perfect for family weekend getaway. Cozy and spacious. Beautiful views. Would recommend!
Lots of stairs. So if you have below the waist joint problems or replacements, it’s a tricky place to stay. They have lots of utensils to use and a big gathering area around the tv. Dock is great - be careful with the stairs to that. The property is right by train tracks. The train passes by every few hours day and night. Fire pit area was perfect for our group!
The space was beautiful with a private dock, quiet but close enough to experience the seclusion we sought. The issue we had was the ant issue on the kitchen counter. We couldn't put ANYTHING on it because they were everywhere. We contacted the property manager and they told us to use soap, which we did, but it was still an inconvenience we wish we would have known about beforehand.
Really beautiful property. The photos are accurate. As with any well used property, there are a few things that are in mild disrepair (e.g. a wobbly chair), but that's what it's like at my house. Lol! The signs of a well-lived in home. Nothing dangerous or that looks sloppy. The only issue we had was with the remote controls for the main TV.
What I'd like to note is that when our car wouldn't start upon checkout, not only did they let us stay in the house to be warm and entertained while we waited for a tow, but they also sent a friend by to try to give us a jump. We cannot even express how grateful we were for this kindness.
As for the train, it really varied quite a bit in terms of when it came through but not only was it not a bother for us, we actually had a lot of fun watching it/listening to it.
Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Megan, Ben and Evolve!
We booked this cabin for a nice family getaway over Super Bowl weekend. The weather was perfect and we did some ice fishing on nearby Friendship Lake. Some pros and cons about the cabin…
Cons
-The train comes by much more frequently than “rarely” as it states in the posting at all hours of the day and night: We didn’t mind it too much, but our dogs struggled to adjust to it at the beginning.
-The couch was not very comfortable and was actually broken on one side (missing a leg or 2) and sank in the middle
-The toilet runs after flushing if you don’t jiggle the handle. The shower in the bathroom is also very dark.
-Not the best lighting in the cabin when it’s dark outside.
Pros
-Beautiful views!
-Plenty of firewood for bonfires
-Lots of kitchen utensils and necessities
-The room off the entrance downstairs is perfect for loading/unloading
-Pet friendly
Overall, nice property!
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Concern that the address is not evident (faded numbers on an obscure tiny sign at the end of a lane that is right next to a paved lane). We should have taken the gravel. No address numbers on the house. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with dishes and pans, and the shower quite adequate.
It would have been helpful to have a book or handout that tells where the thermostat is located and how to work it. Would have spent time on the deck except the area had not been cleaned or swept off. It was not welcoming. There was also a broken spindle on the back deck. That is a concern had we had our three year old with us. Also there was a jar of something left in the refrigerator door that we found when placing our items inside. We left it there.
Loved the interior decor and added touches to make it homey. Very secluded and so pleasantly quiet, even with the few trains that travel along the edge of the property. That did not bother us.
We spent time on the dock watching fishermen, birds, and some busy insects on the water's surface. We would love to stay here again, but would have appreciated an effort to show that they were glad we had chosen their lovely location.

Hi Jo, thanks for letting us know about your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following: -We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our property. -We understand your concern regarding the spindles, and we want to assure you that we take this issue seriously. Spindles can occasionally sustain damage, and we are committed to addressing this promptly to maintain the safety and aesthetics of our property. -Additionally, the back deck overlooking the lake may be subject to windy conditions and seasonal leaves in the Fall, which can sometimes lead to a messy appearance. However, these natural elements also contribute to the beauty of the surroundings and the picturesque view. We hope you appreciate the unique charm that these features bring to our property. We would be thrilled to welcome you back for another stay in the future.
Just myself and my best girlfriend looking to get away on the 1 year anniversary of someone very close to us on their passing. Weekend was perfect, weekend was exactly what I was looking for and cabin was PERFECT!! I’ve stayed at alot of places, almost always had great outcomes and this place was a perfect 11. Loved it, I want it for my own and would recommend to anyone
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin & property are lovely and the location is close enough to WI Dells that families can enjoy the dells activities while still being far enough away from the madness (and tackiness) of the dells that it truly feels like a relaxing getaway for the whole family.
We loved the location and the set up of the house, as well as the amenities. It should be noted that the train comes through more often than “rarely” and comes through at times such as 4:30am and 6am. Also, the steps down to the pier have rotted a little bit and scraped up someone’s leg when they stepped on it. The property is really a great location being right on the lake. It is a beautiful view. WiFi and satellite tv worked very well. Ping pong table and foosball tables were also an added bonus. Plenty of space to park. The patio and chairs overlook the lake with an outstanding view.
Very happy with our recent stay.
Pros:
Spacious
Beautiful inside and outside
Fire pit
Cons:
Train came by more than a few times (not an issue for us as we're from the Chicago area and used to it)
Gas grill was out of propane

It was a beautiful place to stay nice and clean and everything you need.
My friends and I rented this property for a low-key bachelorette party weekend. The property was gorgeous, quiet, spacious and better than we could have even hoped. The only downside was the wifi was not working but we didn't mind. The train came by maybe twice the whole weekend, otherwise it was absolutely quiet the entire time. 10/10 would stay there again.

Lovely house, great location
Enjoyed our stay in this house on the lake. It had everything we needed for a remote vacation. The dock made it really convenient for us to enjoy our pontoon boat throughout the day. There were a few things that needed cleaning, but overall the house was in great shape. Thanks for having us.
This cabin was beautiful and right on the water. Our only request would've been a few more bath/hand towels provided but we made it work. The host was very communicative and accommodating. We had a great time.
Nice place. I would stay there again. The only issue is the bedroom and bathroom doors can easily get locked in and can be tricky to open. Overall.... nice place to stay.
There was a disconnect with the check-in. The owner was not aware that we rented there. However, they were extremely helpful and everything worked out great. Great house, great location. Could not have worked out better. I hope to rent there again in the near future if possible.
