About this property

Pine · Ellis Lake Resort - Pine Log Cabin-Interlochen/Traverse City

As you walk into the Pine log cabin you are welcomed into a rustic space of quiet charm and classic log cabin features. The Pine has a combination living room/kitchen/bedroom and separate remodeled bathroom with a shower. This allows for comfortable sleeping, plenty of relaxation in the living area along with a small fully stocked kitchenette with all the essentials.
The Pine offers plenty of room for 2 adults with a queen bed. This cabin also has a Franklin wood stove as a nice addition for those cooler nights or just having a romantic fire.
This is one of our more economical cabins as it sits on the front part of our property, closest to the main road (If the sound of traffic is disturbing to you, we recommend that you have a look at our other cabins located further away from the road. Our Doghouse, Birch and Elm to name a few). WIFI is located near the office area. Our year round cabin offers air conditioning for the hot summer days and nights and a gas furnace for warmth to take the chill of winter away.
For your outdoor enjoyment you have your own private charcoal grill, picnic table and fire pit. From your cabin door it is just a short walk to our waterfront area on Ellis Lake or to our outdoor (common use) hot tub located in the woods beneath the pines and stars (sign up board located outside office for 1 hour of private usage).

Other things to note:
We have 13 different units on the property. To see our other listings, please search for Ellis Lake Resort, Chalet - Morning Mist and Loon Calls with Greet You, and Solitude in a Log Home in a Majestic Landscape.

Ellis Lake is a 50+ acre lake enjoyed by the nature lover as you can sit on the lovely deck in the early morning hours and often hear the call of the loons and see the swans, ducks and cranes when they are back for the season. During the day our guests enjoy taking a rowboat out to try their skills at fishing for pike, bass, perch or bluegill. Take a canoe or paddle boat out and paddle around the lake to look for the painted turtles that often sun themselves on the logs near the shoreline. A swim raft sits in the middle of the lake enticing you to take a dip or enjoy the warmth of the sun. In the evening, enjoy a campfire at the fire pit and take in the billions of stars that often reflect on the water as there are no lights to hinder this magnificent view.

Cute cabin

We loved the little log cabin and old style resort! It was spotlessly clean and had all we needed. Good location not far from the Dunes and Traverse City. Lovely stay!

Perfect for us

This little cabin was perfect for attending a concert at Interlochen. We slept well and enjoyed short walks around the grounds. Nicely maintained and comfortable with that old cabin charm. The hosts and staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you for a nice experience!
