About this property

The photos & reviews tell it all. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a lot of open space. Sleeps 4. The house is 1,600 square feet.
WE NOW HAVE ALL NATURAL HAND SOAP, SHAMPOO, DISHWASHING SOAP, LAUNDRY DETERGENT, BIO DEGRADABLE GARBAGE BAGS, TOILET PAPER FROM RECYCLED PAPER and SOLAR PANELS. We're doing everything we can to help the environment. 39 steps down to the house. It is lush and overgrown. You immediately feel like you are in another world.
The main room faces Magens Bay. The house is located in a gated community. It's very quiet, very private. All the rooms are large. The living room is 800 square feet. It is open, airy and not cluttered with a lot of furniture. It is 46 feet wide, has an 11 foot ceiling and 9 foot windows. You don't have to sit outside to enjoy the view including the sun setting which occurs right in front of the house over the bay . The kitchen is huge and has everything you could possibly need. We spend most of our time cooking on the barbecue. The veranda is 8 feet by 30 feet with a table that seats 4 and all the chairs face the view of the bay. The shower is open at the top and covered with a mosquito screen so you can take a shower & see the stars at the same time. The property is not perfectly manicured so it doesn't look like a hotel. It's a little overgrown so you really feel like you're in the tropics.There is a second bedroom with 2 twin beds.
We have resident iguanas, parakeets, humming birds and an infinite number of birds. 'This place is nice!'

Awesome place

Everything is just as it seems in pics. 5 minute drive to magens bay. Everything you need at the place but bring some coffee if you’re a coffee drinker. Alan was super responsive. i enjoyed all of his suggestions especially Shorty the guy we rented the car from. View was amazing!

A slice of heaven…..

What an absolutely lovely piece of property! We enjoyed our stay here immensely. As advertised and all communications with Battman were extremely pleasant- like I connected with a long lost friend! The view, the deck, openness of the house, the private beach, Megan’s bay are only a few of the wonderful things located here. Book now- you won’t regret it!

Great Spot

Excellent view and great location. We very much enjoyed our stay. Owner was helpful and responsive. Really appreciated being close to Magens Beach and the small private beach down the road. Would stay there again.

The Reviews Say It All!

Instead of my duplicating others, just read these best reviews!: 7-26-22 9-29-21 3-30-20 7-30-19 1-25-19 I only add that the bottle of wine & extra water jugs greeting us were a real surprise showing Alan's class! Also, the indoor "bug zapper" was so effective at ridding all flying insects (You definitely want this on in the evening.) The only hiccup was an outdated code for entering the gate, since fixed. I do wish to clarify the mixed reviews on accessing the private beach. The house sits 320 ft above sea level. That means a steep 1/2 mile trek down roads & 70-step stairway to a rocky promontory then the beach. You need a healthy youthful physique to reach it in the 7 minutes advertised, especially in sun carrying water, snorkels, etc. (The return climb, well...!) So if you're past prime or out of shape, not recommended. The beach is more a "perk" than "attraction." Don't base your decision to stay here on it, especially with Magen's as close by car. (BTW, from the private beach you can "swim-walk" the 1/2 mile upshore to Magen's!) Oh, one more thing, in the 1st photo with 4 panels, showing the stairway in the lower right panel, that is not the beach in the background, it is the roof of the house!) Lastly, ignore the 3-star review about anyone seeing in thru the outdoor shower window. The window is right against the foliage & the next house is way uphill thru more foliage. Nobody can possibly see into it! We hope to be back to this amazing house. Thanks again, Alan!

Perfect Island Vacation Stay

Great property with everything we needed for our stay and Battman was available by phone anytime we had questions or concerns. The place was clean and neat with all items necessary to make it enjoyable and comfortable! Easy check in and check out. The view is amazing and a peaceful place to have morning coffee as the sun comes up! The open air shower was also a nice touch. Thanks for the bottle of wine!

This may be the most peaceful stay you could have. The house is not cluttered with lots of furniture and the windows are some of the biggest on the island. The view is amazing.
