The property could not have been any more private! Perfectly clean and incredibly warm and quiet. Laundry was helpful and place was roomier than I expected! Awesome place!
House was nice overall but was drafty, only had 3 spoons, toilet paper roll upstairs needs fixing. Bed in the master sweet needs to be replaced due to sagging, overall not a bad place to stay just some small things need fixing

Perfect wintry getaway
This cabin provided the perfect family getaway for the Thanksgiving holiday for our young family of five boys. The foosball table was a huge hit! The bunkbeds provided a fun sleepover experience for three of our boys. Loved the views and the feeling of seclusion.
We had a wonderful long weekend at the house. It is secluded enough to see that there are neighbors, but you have privacy from them. The house was well stocked with supplies, towels, and bedding. There was some dust, but we wiped it off… and then there wasn’t any! Overall great location for a quiet stay. Thank you!
The house listing was exactly as we found it. Large comfy rooms with amazing views of the outdoors. The driveway was steep but easy to find and access. Only thing I would suggest is more hand soap and some towels for the kitchen. Also the down comforter in the master bedroom is very warm. But being warm in Colorado is a plus. We had a wonderful stay
House was not clean. We spent the first day picking up trash that was spread throughout the yard and laundry (all bed clothes smelled of other people). Never spent this much money to clean other peoples’ property. Owner (Don) said cleaning person would return to collect all of the trash we shoveled up but she never did. I can’t believe VRBO would allow this. Incredibly disappointed. Left the house much nicer than when we got there. This house is filthy.
Location is gorgeous. House is nice. It’s clean but not perfect (cobwebs, not overly dusted). Kids loved the house and property. Bring your own games. For the most part all the games at the house are missing pieces. Great kitchen, has most of what you need. The contact for the property was fantastic. The clothes dryer wasn’t working when we arrived. She had someone out the next day to get it fixed. She was responsive to my questions. This is a great home and you will be taken care of. Would love to stay here again.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication

Liked house and location. Kitchen could use some new pots and pans. Cleaning services apparently only spot clean. Found trash under or behind furniture and beds. Cobwebs and spiders were everywhere. One toilet was not cleaned. Outside trashcan was full from previous use and was not secured and bear spread trash all over that we cleaned up. Emailed about bear and got no response, not that I needed one. Again, liked the house and location, just disappointed in cleanliness.

Amazing place to get away
My family of 5 stayed here for 4 nights in early August. The temperature every day was in the 60s and 70s-perfect. The house was very comfortable for all of us. My kids slept on the bunk beds. The house could’ve been a little cleaner. We noticed lots of cobwebs in the higher areas of the rooms, but other wise the rest of it was fairly clean. The kitchen had an ok supply of some food, but we stopped by the grocery store in Fairplay for our food. We had bears visit us on 2 different nights and get into the trash cans outside. The cans are supposed to be “bear proof” but the two bears were able to break the back of the lid and pull out the trash bags. I didn’t have much luck getting in contact with the cleaning lady who was our contact for our stay, so I wasn’t sure what to do about the trash cans. The cabin is about a 20 minute drive to Breckinridge so we went up there a few times for some fun. Overall I was pleased with the cabin and the area is absolutely beautiful. Alma isn’t kidding when they say they are the highest elevated incorporated town in North America. My wife and I definitely felt the effects of the lower oxygen levels, but not too bad.
We were up for Burro Days and the this property in Alma was a great home base. Not far from Fairplay and away from all the hustle and bustle that comes with Burro Days. Amenities were excellent and the property is secluded enough to feel like a real getaway. Views of Democrat and Lincoln driving in are astounding.
long story short, the place was amazing ! Great view of the mountains, super clean, owner actually messages you to make sure everything comes out okay, which everything actually came out wonderful. Will be back again.
This is a beautiful home in the heart of Colorado! The property is nicely maintained with everything that you need. The views from the property and around are spectacular! There are several hiking trails just around the corner. We also enjoyed visiting Breckenridge, which was only 20 min away! What a fantastic place nestled in the essence of what makes Colorado the perfect getaway. We will certainly be coming back!
This property is just about 30 min south of Breckenridge and right outside of Alma, CO. Alma is just a small town, but right down the road in Fairplay you can get most any essential you need. Fairplay also has a wonderful historic area.
The home is nice and will have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Located in a pretty valley, this home is tucked away in the trees not far from a nice reservoir if you like to fish. I had pretty good cell service and the wifi was functional too. The satellite TV service worked very well.
