This is our fourth year in a row staying at this lovely home. We love the Cortez area, and this house is in a great location, immaculately clean and very comfortable. We will definitely be back next year!
This lovely home was very easy to find and we used it as a place to relax and unwind at the end of the days adventures. Beds were comfortable and things in the kitchen area were pretty much easy to find.
Comfortable, well laid place. Was in town for three days with three other adults. The place had plenty of room, and is well laid out. I would happily stay there again.
We stayed in this house last year and enjoyed it so much that we came back again this year. Clean, comfortable house. Nice neighborhood in a perfect location. There is so much to do in the Four Corners area, we may be back next year!
The bathrooms were very small with little to no countertops for our bathroom supplies. The three bedrooms have small floor AC units. There was also one located in the living room. There was no central air. For those reasons, I’d give our overall stay a four out of five.
The home was clean upon arrival. However, we quickly realized that the dryer was out of service, the dishwasher did not work, the main tv was extremely dated, and the electrical outlets throughout the home seemed to be jerry-rigged. Overall, the house was decent, but we would not go back, as this house was not worth what we paid for the rental.

Hi Amy, we're glad you found the house clean, but sorry you did not have the same five-star experience here as past guests. The homeowners have assured us that the house is in great shape, and they would like to share the following:
- The dryer, unfortunately, broke the day before you arrived and we were not able to have it fixed before your stay. A new dryer was installed after you checked out.
- The dishwasher works fine. As is explained in the welcome booklet, there is a switch that must be turned on when you wish to use it.
- The main TV is a large flatscreen and we have never had any complaints regarding it before.
- I purchased this home in January and recently learned that the previous owner had not hired an electrician when remodeling it as they originally claimed. I have contacted a master electrician about rewiring a couple of outlets.
I am confident that future guests will continue to find my home clean and comfortable!
This house was clean, comfortable, adequately equipped and conveniently located. Some interior finishes are d-i-y and casually done. Two of the three bedrooms side on a busier-than-usual residential street, a problem for light sleepers, and an elementary school is next door so there’s a lot of early morning traffic. Considering what we paid, over $1100 for four nights, the list of chores we were expected to do prior to departing to avoid additional charges — put away clean dishes, take out the trash, etc. — seemed a bit much. That said, for three guys using it as a base camp for visiting Mesa Verde, Hovenweep and other attractions, the house was satisfactory.

Hi Jeff, thanks for letting us know about your stay. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- The house was built in 1959 and has been remodeled and refurbished. We strive to provide our guests with a comfortable and cozy home.
- When neighborhood traffic is active, it is easily mitigated by
closing the windows and turning on the fans and airconditioners.
- There are occasional events at the school next door, but traffic is normally not an issue.
- As is standard for vacation rentals, guests are asked to complete a few small tasks, like removing their own trash, as part of checkout. The cleaning fee goes to a professional service that sanitizes and prepares the home for each new guest.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
we really enjoyed our stay. we had no issues with anything in the house. The way the owner described it on Vrbo is as is.
we were very comfortable
we were very safe, it’s a great location
the neighbors were kind and they did not bother us at all
Thank you for allowing me and my family to use your home
The cedar house was as advertised. I was a little concerned about potential street noise as it is close to a busier street, but it turned out to be a non issue. Very conveniently located.
The house was very clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for our one day spent in Mesa Verde and one day traveling to 4 corners and Canyon of the Ancients! Would definitely stay here again when in the area.
Everything was as pictured. We felt very comfortable here. We were able to enjoy some of the very many interesting things to do in the Four Corners area. Hoping to come back next year for a longer stay.
I was impressed with the cleanliness, The beds were comfortable and lots of space to cook and hang together as a family! Would Highly recommend this property!
