The Sand Dollar condominium in Garden City Beach is one of the areas most desirable destinations for family vacations. Direct access from your ocean front balcony to the deck and beach. 2 doors down from Pieradise ~ The Garden City Pier and Arcade! Unit 101 has 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Sorry, no pets allowed.

Sand Dollar is located just north of the Garden City Pier in Horry County. This three-story oceanfront complex is centrally located to several activities and eateries without having to get in the car and drive. Walk to the pier where you can listen to live music during the summer, sing karaoke, or go pier fishing. Head across the street to the world-famous Sam's Corner for a hot dog and then go to the arcade or get an ice cream cone and visit the little shops on Atlantic Avenue. Feel the ocean breeze and take in the sights and sounds of beach life from your private balcony at Sand Dollar. Just steps away, and you will be enjoying the sand and surf. While there is not a pool at Sand Dollar, you will have pool access year-round at the Kingfisher Inn, located next door. There is no elevator at Sand Dollar. Parking is limited to one assigned space under the building (clearance is 7ft, 9in). Motorcycles are allowed. Sorry, recreational vehicles, trailers, golf carts, and pets are not permitted.

Wonderful place

Place was convenient to beach and pier. Everyone was helpful with check in, and any issues we had. Only issue was with the keyless entry, but got resolved very quickly. Very clean and would stay there again.

Spring Rally Bikeweek

My mother stayed at the location. She enjoyed the closeness to the Garden City Pier and the deck overlooking the ocean. The only concern was adequate lighting to see the door keypad. The keys do light up upon touching them but they are very small. She ended up using a small flashlight to see the keys.

2023 Bike week

It was a great location with a wonderful view of the water and the garden city pier. The only complaints I have are they were no cleaning products left in the unit to clean with, on check out they wanted us to start the dishwasher, but there was no dishwasher detergent and they only gave us one parking permit when you can have up to six people in the unit. Other than that we had a great stay in.

Great with minor issues

The unit dryer had no door and the light in hall bathroom worked less than half the time. Also, hard to park all week when a huge passenger van fromMaryland took up half the driveway all week :(

I was very pleased with the location and the overall amenities of the unit. My only complaint is that the cleaning of the unit, before our arrival ,could have been better. The area rug in front of the sofa was wet, a white towel had been placed in the floor in front of the sliding door, I assume because of water from the outside. The rug should have been removed because by the time we left, it had a distinct musty soured odor. I turned the corner of the rug back to let the floor underneath it dry . The flooring will be ruined if this continues. Also , there was a pile of sand/dirt behind and under the containers left in the hallway(towels/sheets) I assumed they had been sat down on the ground outside and the sand was on the bottom of them. Also, the shower in the ensuite shower had some long black hairs stuck to the wall of the shower. Both myself and my BF have cleaned houses for years . If we had done things like this, we would lose customers. I have pictures on my phone , if you would like to see what I'm talking about. I did make a note about this in the guestbook Hoping this helps to make the cleaning better in the future. Otherwise , totally enjoyed our stay. I really like Garden City.

Great vacation on a budget

The whole condo was very clean. We loved the deck and the deck furniture! Some amenities need to be updated. Mainly the microwave--it wouldn't even pop a bag of popcorn.
