Character apartment located in the heart of the village. It is close to shops, close to the thermal baths, the casino and its magnificent esplanade, and the swimming pool. In summer, Cauterets is a site conducive to hiking, climbing, all in a sumptuous setting made of forests, waterfalls, with as a highlight the Vignemale, highest peak of the French Pyrenees. The Cirque du Lys is open to mountain biking. In winter, Cauterets is a ski resort with two sites: the Lys site with its alpine ski area, its snow-park and its toboggan run, and the Pont d'Espagne site, family resort for alpine skiing and its magnificent cross-country skiing area. The gondola which leads to the Domaine du Lys is located 5 min walk from the apartment.

Lovely

The property is really nice and has a lovely feel about it. The location is also great as it's close to the ski gondola and town and is right by the river. Once we arrived we were however hit with extra charges that wasn't clear on the site, such as being charged extra for bedding and towels, or for use of the fire. In the description it states that they're provided, therefore it should state that you need to pay for these. But lovely place despite that.

Wonderful center of Cauterets apartment

This is in the heart of Cauterets, steps to the main center. Tons of restaurants, this is a mountain town. Center point for tons of things to do. The apartment is so perfect, it has everything you need. A bedroom up in the loft and then one on the main level. Windows open in w fantastic views of the city. Church right nearby with no late night dinging, in fact these towns turn off their lights up the road from the centre ville around midnight to keep the sky visible. This is a top floor apartment which was fine for us since we were there to bike. I hope to come back again and would stay here

The owners wrote and told me there was a 60 euro charge for sheets and towels (not listed in description and gosh, could buy sheets and towels for that price!) I expressed my disappointment and they wrote back and said they would provide them for free. After a two day hiking adventure (no showers...) we arrive at this "character apartment" which is up 4 flights of stairs, the last flight without handrail (not mentioned in description) with another set of stair to get to a loft bedroom (visible in pictures) and NO towels. Emailed, but of course, desperate for a shower we had to use bath mats provided by the time we heard back. We were then informed that towels were not included but after again expressing disappointment, they had a friend deliver some. When we arrived all the electric shutters were down, took us awhile to figure out how to open them, there was a moldy smell at first (the upstairs rug?) which got better after we could open the windows. After asking, we were told how to turn on the internet with a beyond cryptic password that was nearly illegible. We left two days early as it was a very uncomfortable place to stay- low beams and jutting cabinets to bump your head on, minimal views and musty smell made it unpleasant. Will think twice when the word "character" is in the description.

Sejour tres relaxant a cauterets

Nous avons passé un excellent sejour, l'emplacement est vraiment ideal, tout se fait à pieds. L'appartement est très agréable et fonctionnel, nous reviendrons c'est certain!

Appartement très bien équipé mais, l'annonce ne précise pas qu'il est situé au 3e étage et la chambre au 4e. Il faut donc une bonne condition et des bagages légers. De plus, un peu cher pour 3 personnes.

Bon séjour et logement très propre. En revanche je ne conseille pas avec des enfants en bas âge (pas de "fond" sur l'escalier de la mezzanine ni de barrière de sécurité). Tout les équipements mentionnés dans l'annonce n était pas présent (linge de maison ...).

Parfait pour explorer les Hautes Pyrénées

Accueil très sympathique des propriétaires. La description de l'appartement correspond bien à la réalité. Appart très confortable, bien équipé et parfaitement situé en plein centre de Cauterets. Il manque peut-être quelques outils dans la cuisine mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer une bonne semaine à la montagne. En tout cas, je recommande!

Logement non sécurisé pour les enfants

Aucun accueil avec le propriétaire à la remise des clés il nous a caché dans un placard. Des options qui n'était pas prévu à notre réservation en ligne bois de chauffage ménage exetera.il n'y a pas eu d'état des lieux d'arrivée mais ils ont voulu faire un état des lieux de départ. Le logement n'est pas sécurisée pour les enfants les garde-corps ne sont pas aux normes il y a des pointes qui dépasse dans les cages d'escalier exetera. L'appartement a des problèmes d'éclairage. Point positif Le logement est proche des commerces. Il y a une mise aux normes du logement a faire par rapport à sécurité, l'éclairage à revoir .

Appartement confortable et emplacement idéal

Les courts séjours sont acceptés hors vacances scolaires et c'est très appréciable. La propriétaire et son mari sont charmants et facilitateurs lors de l'arrivée et pendant le séjour. L'appartement est très propre et bien agencé. Avoir deux vraies chambres est appréciable. Peut-être prévoir de remplacer le meuble au coin de la salle de bain qui prend beaucoup de place et dans lequel on se cogne régulièrement ! Le coin cuisine est bien équipé. A choisir si vous venez à Cauterets en hiver, avec le poêle à bois.
