We had a great stay. The condo was well provisioned for our family.
There is so much snow this year that the screen porch is like a snow cave!

Ski week stay
Really enjoyed our stay! Check in process thru check out was streamlined and easy to follow. Host was responsive and helped out with anything we needed.
House was clean, comfortable, cozy and had lots of little extra things we enjoyed like games, hot cocoa, etc
Would definitely stay again!
We would happily stay there again. Evolve was very attentive to our needs as things arose and the place was cozy and well outfitted for our family of 4. Plenty of chargers and board games for family board night. Wholehearted recommendation!
We had so much fun at Kirkwood and this was the perfect home base. So close to the Village and full of everything we needed. Our kids loved the bunk beds and we loved all of the little things (ski storage closet, etc). Hope to come back again!
It is so comfortable coming back to this place after a day on the slopes. The fire, the amenities, including hot cocoa, and the easy access to the list make it a place we love to stay. I’m pretty sure we will be back!
The property is in a perfect location. Walk across the street to Kirkwood Village, the General Store and 7800. The unit was well accompanied, very clean and comfortable. The host was very proactive and communication was clear and concise. Will definitely stay here when we return.
This place was ideal for us! Clean, comfortable, and convenient though we would have preferred a small couch instead of the 2 big chairs. The kitchen was well stocked with some basics! Only ‘issue’ was lack of any natural light since this first floor unit was completely buried under snow. Communication with Maurice was easy!
When the snow is really awesome as it was this April, the snow piles up above the windows, so the unit is pretty dark. That was the only downside. The host is very attentive. Coffee and filters are provided, as are a variety of teas, spices, and cooking oils. Very short walk to the main lifts.
Great little condo! Location is right across from main village area. Ski locker room right next to the condo is a huge plus for easy convenient storage of gear.
The host left all of these cute little signs explaining how to use things and giving tips, which was really helpful.
Everything from check in to check out was streamlined and easy to follow.
Very well stocked with the basic items like dish pods, paper goods, and even had little extras like hot chocolate, coffee, and creamer.
We had one unexpected issue come up and the host was truly apologetic, and did everything he could to try and fix the issue for us. He was super quick to respond and we really appreciated the way he handled it.
Would definitely recommend this condo and would stay again!
It was amazing place! Everything you need is there with thoughtfulness.
We were just there for 2 nights with adult son. He slept on the large bunk bed in living room.
Cozy and cute!
We had a great stay at this condo. There was a storm in the Sierra the day we drove up and the management company was extremely communicative and helpful. Check-in was smooth, as was check-out. The condo was well-stocked with everything you could think of, including coffee, toiletries, extra blankets and towels, etc. The condo itself is a bit on the older side and I wouldn't call it "luxury" accommodations, but our overall experience was better than advertised.
This one bedroom cabin was more comfortable than many 2 and 3 bedroom cabins we've stayed in across the Tahoe area. The furnishings are relatively new and high quality (linens, mattresses, towels, appliances, flooring, etc.). There were easy to find outlets in every place we looked for them, good wifi, Nest thermostat with wood pellet burning stove, and convenient ski closet. It was comfortable for our family of four and our kids (5 and 2) had a lot of fun with the bunk bed and dining nook. We would definitely stay here again!
This unit was just as described in the property listing. It's in a great location with everything someone would need for a great stay in the Sierras! Maurice goes above and beyond to make sure his guests enjoy their stay!
The location of this property is fantastic! We would head out early to ski and then come back to the condo for lunch and head back out again. With Covid restrictions still in place, dining on the mountain is limited so it was so, so nice to be able to swing back to the place with just a very short walk and fuel up. The attention to detail on this property is frankly quite remarkable. And it's due to the incredible desire of the owner, Maurice, to make a guest's stay as wonderful as possible. From the time of booking, Maurice was so attentive. The niceties in the condo were unexpected and so appreciated. From the UGG bedding to the complimentary sunscreen, hot chocolate, apple cider, Peet's coffee - reg and decaf - to the PooPouri in the bathroom...just perfect! Thank you and we will definitely recommend it to friends and family!
Clean, easy check-in with good instructions. Comfortable. Kitchen could be better organized.
Overall a good experience. Easy access to lift (5 min walk across the street). Walking distance to general store and restaurants. Condo was clean, check in easy and overall comfortable place. The kitchen could be better organized. Some stuff was in ski locker and it was not clear if that could be used e.g. cheese grater.
Maurice was highly communicative so we knew exactly what to expect. The beds were so comfortable and there was more than enough space. As Maurice tells you in advance, the cookware is pretty limited, so if you plan to bake or cook anything knives and pans.
Clean, convenient, super responsive property manager, clear instructions.
The combo of first floor and very close parking spot made it easy to load/unload. Dedicated (locked) room for skis/boots/poles that made it easy to store/swap and keeps the home cleaner and less cluttered. Heat works well and easy to adjust (Nest thermostat). In the time of Covid you have to bring all your food/condiments etc but again being first floor and super close to the parking spot made this easy. Wife and I slept in the bedroom with a nice big bunk bed for the kids. Wifi worked well. Compact but everything you need. Would definitely book again.
We had a great time staying here. It was clean and very cozy. Communication with Maurice was very easy. He got back to us very promptly. While visiting my wife broke her wrist on the second day of our stay. She toughed it out and hung out in the condo while my kids and I snowboarded for my sons birthday. My wife told me she really enjoyed her stay even with a broken wrist and most importantly she felt comfortable even though she wasn’t at home. Thank you! We hope to come back again!!!

Thanksgiving
From start to finish, our experience with the owner Maurice was superb. My family and I decided to stay in Kirkwood to celebrate Thanksgiving this year. I messaged Maurice in advance if we could check in a little earlier to ensure we had enough time to prepare and cook Thanksgiving dinner and he was more than able to accommodate us; he even programmed the Nest thermostat to warm up the place before our arrival. Instructions and accommodations were 5 stars. I’ve stayed at “vacation rental by owner” places for over 15 years now and this place definitely ranks up there. Maurice had the small things that definitely counted like phone and Apple Watch chargers, toiletries, hot beverage mixes and microwaveable popcorn. Will definitely be back and looking forward to staying here again. Thank you Maurice and all!
Had Kirkwood to ourselves. Great hiking. Enjoyed sitting on open patio looking at red Cliffs and up a willow edged creek bed
Would be great for family with two to three kids.
