Looking for the perfect oceanfront 3-bedroom condo? Look no more! Both the living room and the master bedroom open onto the ocean front patio, so you can enjoy your coffee sitting out in the ocean breeze. Atalaya Towers 503 has a fully equipped kitchen and the master bedroom has a king size bed. A queen, 2 singles and a sleeper sofa brings the accommodations number to 8! You'll enjoy an outdoor pool AND an indoor pool and hot tub, the latter two of which are open all year long. Sorry, no smoking or pets allowed.

Atalaya Towers is located 0.5 miles north of the Garden City Pier in Horry County. This 16-story complex offers a resort feel with a security locked lobby entrance, elevators, complimentary wireless internet, and vending machines. Take in the ocean sounds from a lounge chair on the expansive sundeck. If you want to feel the sand underneath your toes, you are only steps away from the beach. Memorial Day to Labor Day enjoy swimming in the street side outdoor pool. Rainy days or in the off-season, still want to go swimming? Atalaya Towers offers an indoor pool, which is heated from mid-October to mid-April. There is also an indoor hot tub, so come on down and relax. Two parking permits are issued per unit (one pass is for onsite parking, the second pass is for parking located across the street). Motorcycles and trailers are allowed, however, they must be parked in the lot across the street. Sorry, recreational vehicles, golf carts, and pets are not permitted.

Unkempt

We have stayed at Atalaya Towers at least 6 times and always was pleased. This was the most unkempt place. The living room furniture was so dirty and stained we refused to sit on it. The recliner was stiff and covered in brown grime. The refrigerator had mold in the rubber gaskets. The oven had not been cleaned in who knows when. No running water at the kitchen sink. The totes that the towels were in were filthy. Thank goodness the towels were wrapped in cling wrap. No covers on the pillows. The mattress cover was stained. The location was great. Again, we never experienced this here before. I don’t know if this realtor’s cleaning service is lacking or what.

Needs cleaning

This property needs some care and possibly someone to verify that it has been cleaned. The floors were very sandy and dirty. We had to sweep before we could walk on the hard floors. And it definitely had not been cleaned under the kitchen table. The headboard on one of the twin beds had become unattached to the bed frame. We reattached it before we slept on that bed. None of the fitted sheets were put on the bed correctly. We had to remake every bed before sleeping in them. We could not find a king-sized blanket for the king bed. We had to use two full size blankets. One eye of the stove did not work and the microwave above it paint was peeling around the door. One shelf was missing from the refrigerator. There was no place to store our personal items in the kitchen cabinets. Everything had to be stored on top of the kitchen counter. The kitchen did not have basic supplies. There were no paper towels or dishwasher soap and only a teaspoon of dish soap. The flooring in the bedrooms were very old and dirty and you did not want to walk on it without shoes. The furniture in the living area was very old and stained from use. Only one elevator was working which made checking in and checking out of your room very difficult and time-consuming. The location of this condo was great, and the pool and the outdoor space was clean.

Family vacation

We enjoyed the pool and beach as well as the local area! The condo itself was outdated and the dryer wasn’t in the greatest working order. The elevator not working made move in day complicated, but didn’t seem to be an issue the rest of the week. In whole our week was enjoyable and we will be back to visit the area.
