New Hot Tub, Fenced yard, Covered Porch 2 blocks to beach, Clean

What's great about this house is its proximity to the beach and that because of the hot tub, covered porch, and modern conveniences it's a great place to be rain or shine. I really strive to continuously improve this house and make my guest experience better and better. High Speed Internet, Great place to escape from Portland and get your work or studying done. FYI, This is a beach house not The Four Seasons, it's a quirky beach cabin with a ton of amenities. Beach is two blocks away. Lake is one block away. 65 inch flat screen TV,, and 400mb highest speed internet available, Stereo with IPOD hookup, Barbecue, bamboo and cork floors, newer beds. Kitchen with slab granite countertops and snack bar. Dining room table seats 8. Excellent for those with kids. Washer, Dryer, bath off of master with newer Sealy Posturepedic Queen Bed and 560 thread count sheets and a cozy down comforter with You can see Twin Rocks from in front of the cabin. Newer ductless heating and A/C unit. Two blocks to the best beach in Rockaway which is directly in front of the Twin Rocks. Parking for an RV on the side. Great swimming and fishing in Spring Lake which is one block away. Good Boating less than one mile away in Lake Lytle. Garibaldi is about 4 miles away with Ocean Fishing access. Mountain Biking 1/2 mile away. Most pets are fine with an additional $35 cleaning fee. Two night minimum $100 non-refundable cleaning fee. $100 refundable security deposit. 7 people maximum. 3 day minimum Memorial Day. Hot tub is new April 2023 and is wired 220 volts to heat up quickly although if the water is nasty I’ll change it so there is a chance it might not be piping hot the second you arrive.


Note: Cleaners are following all CDC/OHA, and Tillamook County best practice cleaning guidelines for Covid-19.

Prior to guest arrival and 48 hours in advance an email will be sent to each party requiring the following.

1. Confirmation that no person in their party has recently experienced any flu or cold symptoms or had a fever within the last 10 days.

2. No person in their party has been exposed to or interacted with a person who has tested positive for COVID 19 within the last 14 days

3. Guests will follow social distancing measures for the duration of their stay.

4. Guests acknowledge Tillamook County resident concerns related to increased risk of exposure of COVID-19 in Tillamook County rural communities as we move into summer vacation season and that all guests will make every effort to be good citizens and respectful neighbors during their stay. This includes adhering to the hours of quiet time (10 PM to 7 AM), parking requirements, and contact person response times as outlined in Tillamook County Ordinance #84.

3 day minimum on Federal Holidays next to a weekend.

If you’re a nervous traveler, have health concerns, don’t like driving in the wind, rain, or snow, are concerned with your health please purchase trip insurance. I can’t afford to provide that service myself for last minute cancellations when it is readily available. It is difficult for me to block out for your reservation and then rebook at the last second.

This was such a fun beach house! A very short walk to the beach, had great facility! Beds were very comfortable, kitchen well supplied. Backyard was super fun! Loved the hot tub and firepit. It was a great place for a getaway to the beach. Easy check in and check out. I would for sure stay here again.

This is the second time we've booked this property, because it fits our two small familes so perfectly. It's cozy, we can bring our dogs, it's in a great location and had everything we are looking for in a rental. Small but well-stocked kitchen, a TV that is way bigger than we have at home (plus one in the bedroom), a good sized dining table that is also perfect for playing games, and comfy couches to relax into at the end of a day after a busy day at the coast and then soaking in the hot tub. Great restaurants nearby, and the host has some excellent recommendations left for guests in the house. We'll be back!

We stayed 3days/2 nights, bed was ok, not the most comfortable. Sheets are polyester, pillows had stains. Having a hot tub was nice, the house has whatever you need for showering. For the hot tub area, the fence isn’t that private, has enough gaps to see the neighbor gardening vice versa. The fence has no privacy really, don’t mind except the hot tub area, we don’t want people being able to see us in the hot tub. Privacy overall was good besides noticing the neighbor gardening while we were in the hot tub. Did our best to clean up after ourselves and left it how we found it, although we noticed the floors are pretty dirty with dog hair and dirt. Overall the hot tub was nice and hot, the place had nice tvs and the privacy was good besides the fence area around the hot tub. Dog friendly which is great

I’m sorry these guests had this experience. I’ve never heard this about the hot tub not being private. Must have been a neighbor out a lot. The fence is 6 feet tall with overlapping fence boards. You can definitely see over the fence when you’re standing on the deck but there’s about 3 to 4 feet above the hot tub. It’s always felt pretty private when you’re sitting in it. Pictures are accurate so you can judge for yourself:) I’ll get some new pillows. Beds are newer Sealy Posturepedics from Costco. Generally people love them. Sheets are replaced often and are super soft. Cotton ones tended to get scratchy and faded quickly. I really take great care in my houses, stay in them often, and try to improve them over time to what I would want.

Very pleasant, well stocked place to stay! Tom's recomendations were spot on. Pirate Cove was a nice place with very good food and the ancient cedar right down the street was a cool sight to see! We had fun and were very pleased with our accommodations!

Great price! Cozy accommodations! Wished the hot tub worked.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was cozy, comfortable, and had pretty much everything we needed. The only downside was that the hot tub was not working properly (no real heat and the jets didn't turn on). We would definitely stay here again.

Great get away in Rockaway!

We loved this quirky and charming property! Perfect for our little group and two dogs. The two adjoining bedrooms were perfect for us and our daughter. Kitchen was great, and plenty of space in the dining area and living room for meals and playing games. TVs and WiFi were great. Nearest beach was lovely and steps away and the hot tub was perfect at the end of a long day. We loved that it was dog friendly with a fenced in yard! Looking forward to booking again sometime for a longer stay!

Yes, the house itself is imperfect, but it is clean, comfortable, and has some nice touches. Hot tub is great, as us backyard and front porch. Comfortable beds, nice appliances, plenty of kitchenware and linens. This property manager has done a great job anticipating the renters needs. Easy access to everything, but in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed a week and it was great.

Wonderful little home away from home

This place is a cute little vacation rental with plenty of room. There was a bit of dog hair but that was mentioned in the ad so we knew ahead of time. No complaints here. Hot tub worked great and the detailed instructions were very helpful. Thank you for the nice stay away.

Why they chose this property

Rockaway is a great town with a good selection of fun shops and restaurants. This property is close to the beach and in a great spot for multiple adventures with the kids or a special someone.

What makes this property unique

I love hanging out on the front porch while it's raining. It's nice to relax in the hot tub after a walk at the beach. The high speed internet makes it a great place to work or study away from home for not too much money. Beds are super comfortable and everything you need is provided to have a relaxing vacation.
