Such a cute, manageable space for a small family. We spent most of our time out and about, but it was a great location—so close to Julep Farms and other great spots—and a quiet retreat at the end of a busy day. My kids loved the yard games and hiking/running around the grounds too.

Thank you for the review. We love reading what our guests enjoyed about our facilities.
Fantastic location. Great experience despite the rain. No cell phone reception and WiFi was out…and they were not missed.

Tank you for your review. Many guests find the absence of solid Wifi relaxing . Cell phone reception is based on switching to WiFi calling. Unfortunately, the maximum cell speed is in that area is 3Mbps. That's why we provide a landline phone on the wall of the office front porch.
This was our first time using VRBO. The lakeside cabin with mountain views was absolutely stunning! Our first time staying in the mountains made us lifelong fans. The people in Rabun Gap are boiling over with southern hospitality. This will now be our annual summer vacation spot.

I was very disappointed in the ambiance of the cabin. I felt like I was in a battleship, very dreary. No rug or coffee table to set things on..... I was hoping for a cozy cabin in the Mts. Also, not conducive to older people, or people with disabilities as there is no bathroom on the second floor and the only sleeping area is on the second floor. The stairs are very steep also. The grounds and area are very beautiful ..... Just inside the cabin is very cold and depressing.

We are sorry you were disappointed with your cabin. The pictures of the interior were available for your viewing when you booked your reservations. The cabin is described as having a loft bedroom with bathroom on the main level. We do have other cabins as you described listed with VRBO. During your stay we did experience typical winter overcast days. On normal days the sun shines in those very large windows and the views are breathtaking.

Decent place to stay. Quiet clean. Down about a mile if dirt road. Advertises "waterfalls and lake" There is a decent little waterfall close and nice stream. Lake is and overstretch. More or a small, mostly overgrown pond. Nice ducks though. It was OK, clean and peaceful. View is average at best. Depends on what you are looking for. Price range was average. Our cabin was connected to two others, but no one there for our weekend. Not a bad place at all, but certianly not what i expected or hoped for.

We appreciate your comments. The falls does diminish when in a drought. We have no control over the lake being turned into a "wetland". When the county scrapes the dirt road, it rains, guess where the soft dirt runs to. These cabins were remodeled the beginning of this year to better accommodate our guests with updated kitchen appliances, flooring, fresh paint etc. All exterior decks and porches were also painted and freshened up and new propane grills were provided. Your rate was much lower than other rates during "leaf season".
We loved the cozy and safe (no stress about our kids playing out and about) little cabin community. Two different families had kids our 4$6 yo played with. It was small but cozy and all we needed to recharge and enjoy the fall leaves. Great tucked away treasure. Next visit we will bring fishing poles!
The cabin was very clean. Check in was a very easy process. Debbie was very pleasant to work with. Not far from a local store if you should need anything. The grounds were absolutley beautiful. The picture's do not do it justice. We did do a little fishing along the streams on the property and caught some Trout. We also drove up to Chatooga River which isnt far from cabin, maybe 35 minutes and did some fishing. We look forward to booking our next trip to this cabin. Did not do much antique shopping but while out about we did see several antique shops we would like to go to at a later date. Cabin was not a disappointment! We will be back

Michelle you guys are the best! It was a pleasure meeting you and your friends. We are so happy to read your appreciation of the property and description of things nearby. Rabun County definitely has it all. Hiking, boating, horseback riding, white water rafting, kayaking the lakes, two state parks, trendy shops and wonderful restaurants! Please come again soon!
This place is in a beautiful location. Its near many great parks and hiking trails. For the place itself, it cozy and enough for 4-5 people. It wasn't as clean as I was hoping as the shower wasn't completely clean, and the windows and the window sill by the bed were extremely dirty with bugs and dirt. Overall the place is nice and made for a great trip
Me and my family enjoyed the beautiful sunrise and sunset, we fish and got a small bass and a small trout. We loved that the lodge was very close to the waterfalls, beautiful and clean water. Although there were some inconvenients like my son and husband were stung by wasps from the tree behind the lodge, and there were spiders everywhere, even in the patio/grilling area. So I would recommend to carry on with you wasp spray, spider spray, and make sure there is clean before paying or seating anywhere.

Thank you for your review. We have our grounds monitored for nests frequently and sprayed inside and outside to keep pests to a minimum. We are sorry to hear of your stings.
Everything was according to the pictures on the website. Beautiful scenery. We was about 20 mins from Everything we needed, but far enough from town. I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to unplug .

Thank you for your review. Please come and visit us again.
Communication with the property manager was easy. The cabin was exactly what we were hoping for—quiet and secluded, off the beaten path just enough, yet not terribly far from town and other attractions like restaurants, parks and hiking. The grounds were incredibly beautiful, the cabin itself was just enough space, with a porch to relax on, a grill to cook outdoors, and very comfortable beds.

Mark management does not know that a tv is not working if the guest does not report. Had you called we would have dispatched someone to check your connections, change receiver, or get DISH to do a reset. When you give someone an unfair rating it hurts our standing. Do you think your not reporting a bad tv makes it fair to give us 3 stars. If so, I should have given you a 3 for lack of communication.
Perfect getaway! Quiet and beautiful view of the stars at night! Secluded enough to escape but also close enough to town. Great hiking all around! Also a secret little waterfall right on the property!
