Thank you for your feedback—we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re sorry to hear the beds did not meet your personal comfort preferences. We understand that comfort is subjective, and while most guests find the beds very comfortable, we are truly sorry they did not provide the level of comfort you were hoping for. We take great care to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable stay, and we sincerely acknowledge your input regarding your stay.
We stayed for three nights and wished it was longer! This home sits right on the edge of Lake Alder. Occasional boats and fisherman come and go, and it is very quiet and peaceful. We brought paddle boards to use, and also used one of the ones supplied by the owner. The home worked well for three of us. The kitchen was well supplied, beds were comfortable, AC worked well during the hot days. Early mornings on the covered deck, enjoying the view and reading and a good cup of coffee…..perfect!
Wonderful Lakeside weekend with close access to Rainer!

Gem of a Find
We absolutely loved our stay. Having the dock for our boat and access to the kayakes made our stay perfect. The view and the lake makes this location one we will definitely return to. The cabin was exactly the size needed for our trip, with the amenities we needed. We expect to make this our yearly gathering location.
This lakeside cabin getaway was just what we needed! The view of the lake was incredible! As soon as you walked in the door it felt like your own cozy cabin. We really enjoyed the hot tub as well. The beds were cozy and the kitchen was stocked with everything you needed. We would definitely come back!

thank you for sharing your home
It was a very welcoming home with beautiful views and great amenities. but the description of the bunk house needs to be be clearer. The bunkhouse would be great for teens but a little tight for adults.

Alder Lake House
Booked a year in advance for a small Birthday / Father’s Day celebration 🥳. The weather was wet & rainy, but we still had a great time indoors enjoying the magnificent scenery and views. Our stay was excellent getting away from the hustle & bustle being in the city. Nice resort to relax 🧘 and very quiet all the time, except for the boats 🛥️. Would recommend for a vacation since Elbe, Mount Rainier are close to venture out for day trips.
Better than last time (2021), we enjoyed the upgrades, such as the deck cover, leather furniture, and hot tub. We stayed 12 days, kayaked 3 times, and witnessed an amazing storm! Exploring the area was fun, and since we didn't have reservations to enter Mt Rainier, we didn't get to do that, until one day when we went AFTER 3pm and enjoyed our 42nd anniversary dinner at Longmire, National Park Inn.
Property on the lake was lovely. House was great. Only issue we experienced was that the upper bunks in the bunk house did not have rails. We had young adults using them so they were aware but that seems worrisome if children were expected to sleep there. Other than that I highly recommend the place: nice location, lake is lovely and the management team were helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful Cabin on the Lake!
This lovely cabin on the lake has all the amenities of home including a large screen TV, comfy chairs, games and movies. As we nestled into the cabin watching the snow fall, we watched movies, and ate our chocolate snacks until the midnight hour. Then we sat in the hot tub and enjoyed the vast amount of stars in the sky. We had 2 wonderful nights in this great cabin and I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a time away for some rest and relaxation.
We loved everything about our stay. We only turned on the TV once! There was almost no one on the lake. It was quiet and peaceful. The weather and hot tub were perfect. The floating pad at the dock was great for the kids and the dock was great to store our boat. We only have one complaint is that the bunk beds were not that sturdy, but the kids just slept in the bottom and not the top. Other than than we loved it and are already planning on coming back next summer :)
This place has everything you need. Was very clean. My in-laws were in town and wanted to go to a lake. We enjoyed the fire pit, dock and paddle boards, hot tub, games, and gas grill. There is a cove on other side of the lake with hundreds of salamanders around you and my daughter loved venturing over there. Plenty of shaded seating to sit outside and enjoy. We went over to Elbe and Eatonville. Next time probably will venture to Mt.Ranier. Great location and thank you!
Huge yard and deck area, would have been great with warmer/drier weather. Great view from the livingroom and master bedroom. I wasnt a fan of the bed (very creaky and the firm type memory foam that you eventually sink into). Kitchen was well equiped. It did feel a bit crowded with five adults. Again the cold/wet weather limited spreading outdoors.
We really enjoyed staying here. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this place!!! The view is incredible! They have everything you need including paddle boat, paddle board, fishing poles, pots and pans, grill, chairs, etc. I would recommend taking inventory of condiments that are there before you go shopping. The view of Mt. Rainier from the lake is awesome! The host was available immediately if we needed something. If you’re wanting a peaceful, beautiful, and adventures place...this is it!
We had a great time and were impressed with the private lakeside setting, the facilities and amenities, including the bunkhouse, outdoor bathroom, hot tub, fire pit, large top end BBQ grill, covered patio with Edison lights, 3 baths, fully equipped kitchen and more. When we needed to contact the host, response time was very fast.An area that could be improved was the cleanliness of the hardwood floor. At the back entrance from the patio into the house was a plaque requesting shoes be removed. We honored this but within minutes of moving around inside our socks were turning black from the dirty floor. We were charged a cleaning fee when we booked the place and are not very happy about that.
The view on a cloudy/rainy day is so beautiful and serene, it does not compare to a sunny day and I’m glad we got to witness it! The house is well kept although I do wish the furniture in the living room was more comfortable and one bed creaks loudly at the slightest movement. The view is amazing to wake up to, hot tub was great for chilly nights, being out on the water was fun and it’s very private so you don’t see many people. The large covered deck allows you to relax and gaze at the scenery even when it’s raining. We brought our bikes and it was fun riding along part of the lake. I loved this place so much it was hard to leave.
My friends and I came to WA for a hiking trip in Mt. Rainier. This house is the perfect location which is literally almost a hop, skip, and step away from the entrance which made it super convenient. The home is beautiful, clean, and nice appliances and even the beds are Tempur-pedic (but personally I’m not a have but great added touch!)
Communicate with the rental manager was not the best. I reached out prior to confirm about the hot tub to avoid any issues and never heard back. The manager also text me at 330PM day of saying the entrance to the separate bunk bed room was blocked and I responded less than a he later saying we needed it open for one of our guest. However, she didn’t respond until at 12am when we landed and our friend had to sleep in the living room. It did get fixed the next day but I just felt so bad that my friend had to sleep on the couch. The internet is terrible, don’t expect good WiFi ( no one could stream Netflix or use WiFi on our phones, even though the manager stated it worked fine when she was there). We just played board games instead. Also the hot tub states to only stay in 15 min then get out for an hour so it can reheat. I’ve never used a hot tub like that and this was one of the main reasons we got the house. I suggest putting full disclosure on your add about this. I’m sure it has to do with costs and being eco friendly so we only used it twice because it was cold outside and didn’t want to get wet again after drying off.
When I was communicating with the manager she made us feel like an inconvenience.
I hope she was just having a one off day and her approach but we truly loved the property and would reconsider staying again in the future

Christmas lodging
The house was what we needed for our Christmas vacation. Only problem was it wasn't cleaned when we arrived at check in. We helped her clean it the best we could. The hot tub wasn't hot until our 3 rd day there. Nice restaurants close by in the small town. Would recommend purchasing groceries before you arrive.
