Excellent place to hide away and enjoy some peace yet close enough to Hochatown and Beavers Bend for the family to enjoy the activities, food, and fun. I enjoyed the kayaking and trout fishing! The beds were so comfortable.
Stayed here with my husband and 4 friends for 3 nights and had the best time! Between the fire pit, the hot tub, and the outdoor games we had plenty to keep us entertained. Would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed staying at this beautiful property! We loved how secluded and peaceful it is as well as all of its amenities. The beds and sofas were very comfortable! It was just perfect for our family of 4 adults! We had a couple of issues, but those were resolved very quickly even being on Thanksgiving Day! We definitely recommend this place!
Overall the experience was good. We had some issues with garbage disposal and we had to tighten two door handles that came off. The property was a little dirty/dusty with some little gnats that were annoying. But the location was wonderful. The space was beautiful.
Extremely clean! Overall very impressed, exceeded expectations!
Notes: ONLY follow the instructions to the cabin provided in the email, do not use the address on the listing. The address takes you no where near the actual property. Also, a previous review said firewood was provided however that was not the case for us.
Our stay at Cross Timbers was wonderful. Check-in/check-out was super easy, directions to the cabin were great. Cabin itself was beautiful on a beautiful piece of land. So many amenities!! Highly recommend this cabin!
Everything was fine, only a few details, the handle of the toilet in one of the bathrooms is broken, in one bedroom there was no control for TV and another one did not work, the speakers of the theater do not work, we found a bedbug in the upstairs bedroom, but everything else was very good
The property is well set up and easy to get to. At the same time you are off in the forest and secluded. They have everything you could possibly need. Just bring friends and family and food and you are set for a good time!
My family of 6 stayed here and had plenty of space. We loved the house, and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. They did provide dishwasher pods, a few trash bags and hand soap which was really nice. Remote and comfy - there was firewood provided. Great beds and plenty of towels.
My check in and directions email went to my spam so I texted the number not realizing it's a property management service, later I called the number and left a message. Next I messaged in the vrbo app and got a response to follow directions in the email so I searched and found it in my spam folder. We were already in Hochatown by then, so we then spent almost two hours looking for the house. Note that there are 2 highways called 295A with two different access points that goes in a loop. This is not on the directions. Additionally you do not have service while driving so we had to go back down to town each time we didn't find it to message back in the app. I would recommend you make sure you have the email and directions well before you arrive. That seems like a no-brainer but many houses do not send you anything until day of - so that was my expectation.
Needed just a couple days to decompress. This cabin fit the bill. Our kids had their own rooms, and the access to Beaver's Bend for outdoor activities fit the bill. Cabin was clean and well apportioned. Highly recommend!
This cabin is absolutely beautiful. To future renters, if you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, bring it!! Part of what makes this cabin awesome is it seclusion but getting up there was quite dicey. The only thing that changes my review of this property is upon arrival I called to report the jacuzzi wasn’t working. They sent a guy out and he said he had to get a part and would see us tomorrow. He never showed up and we really wanted to get in the hot tub. I did email them but got no response. That would not keep me from renting this cabin again as it really is a beautiful place and we felt like we were in a treehouse!
Really cool cabin close to the state park. My favorite thing was that's it's on a mountain and not flat like other cabins we've stayed at in the area. Plus it's really nice.
We went for a girls getaway and the house was clean and we throughly enjoyed it!! The only thing it didn’t have was a full size mirror. Other than that, it had all the basic necessities! We made some great memories and I would rent this house again!!
