We had a wonderful stay at this property. It had everything we needed everyone had there own room (including children) and because there were 7 of us it was wonderful to have the 2nd bathroom. Plenty of room for everyone to chill, watch tv play games etc. The location was perfect as it was so close to Salamanca & the CBD so we were able to walk everywhere rather than drive and have to find parking. Particularly good for visiting the market.
Beautiful house, comfortable for extended family group staying together. Great location for local activities but also easy to get in and out of town for day trips. Would definitely stay here again
We were a group of 9 colleagues staying in this wonderful property. Absolute highlights - comfy beds and decor, 2 large bathrooms and plenty of space to spread out. The location is brilliant with all the key attractions within walking distance. We had a great stay - thanks so much!
We had an amazing time at this beautiful property. Perfect location, so close to everything. Host were fantastic and very responsive to messages.
Will definitely book again
Great property to stay with a big group and close to everything! Layout of the house was good to all have own space. Wheelchair accessible. Easy walk to Salamanca.
The property was exactly what was listed, great rooms, beds, kitchen & facilities with off street parking with a great outdoor area out the back.
Will be looking at booking this again for next year if it’s available.
We had the most perfect family get together. This place is within easy walking distance to the Salamanca markets, pubs and restaurants. We were a family of adults getting together. There was space and room for us to either spend time together or spread ourselves out. I highly recommend this pla e
We had a brilliant stay at Hampden Manor. With 5 adults and 2 children we were very comfortable in a luxurious home. We could’ve easily fit another 5 people in the huge house. The beds were very comfortable and the home had everything we could ever need. Fantastic location with a short walk to Salamanca markets. Convenient off street parking for two cars. We will stay again!
Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The property condition and location was excellent. Accommodated three generations. The period features of the home with the modern ammenities made for a very cosy stay.
Only issue has been with the booking agency charging more than the quoted price. Hopefully this will be rectified soon.
Five male friends stayed at Hampden Manor over an October weekend. It was a terrific base, within an easy walk of the Constitution Docks and Salamanca.
The facilities were, in the main, clean, tidy and very functional. Keen cooks may find the kitchen facilities basic, yet plentiful, except for microwave dishes that seemed very scarce,
The front sitting room is perfect for an afternoon red and cheese, and a hearty debate over politics or other meaty subjects - it was cosy and accommodating.
The bedrooms were very comfortable as well.
Overall, a great location in a house with character.
Fantastic house, great hosts in an unbeatable location
A group of 11 of us stayed for four days and we could have stayed for 4 weeks! The house was perfect for us with plenty of room to sleep everyone comfortably. The house is clean and well maintained and all communication with the host has been speedy and most helpful. Now, about the location - WOW! If you want to experience all that Hobart offers, Battery Point is the place to do it from. The house is walking distance to so many amazing sights and experiences so we rarely needed to order Ubers. We all loved our time here and we will all be back, for sure. Thanks for such an awesome little get away, we couldn't have asked for more.
The upstairs bedrooms were very hot even with air conditioning in 2 of the 3 rooms. I understand that the weather was hotter than usual.
The outside area could do with a good tidy-up. The wooden bench seats in some parts are very worn.
A great central location enabled us to walk to lots of places, especially the harbour area.
Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend Hampden Manor to family and friends.
Thank you🌸

We were a group of six women who came from around Australia for a girls weekend.
We were very impressed with Hampden House. It was close to everything that we needed.
The house itself was spotlessly clean. We were there for the coldest weekend in Hobart for the year and whilst initially cold after a few hours the house was nice and warm - we just had to remember to keep going around and turning on the buttons which were timed.
Beds were very comfy and appreciated extra bedding for the winter nights. Everything that we could have needed in the kitchen to stay in and make up platters for one night.
Would recommend staying here to others.
We had somewhat of a disappointing start as 6 female friends arrived from interstate at various times on a winters day/night to a cold house. Some of the heaters provided did not work. We were also left 1 towel each for a 4 night stay. We only discovered this when those of us sleeping in bedrooms upstairs were left no towels.I had also previously requested if a Nespresso machine could be provided for our stay but this request was not answered. After a couple of conversations with staff on the ground all of our expectations were met and indeed exceeded. Two staff showed up immediately with some extra oil filled bar heaters. The next day extra towels and the Nespresso machine materialised and also a bottle of bubbles! The later items were unexpected but gratefully received.Communication with staff was excellent. They were always on hand, friendly and accommodating. The house is very comfortable. We ended up having a warm and memorable stay at Araluen and would recommend it to other large groups.
Was brilliant that the house seemed much bigger than we thought it was going to be. Brilliant bathroom facilities and nice bedrooms perfect for groups of. Up to 10
Very enjoyable stay
Stayed at the house with 2 families & loved it. Enough room for everyone & the kitchen leading out to the courtyard was lovely. Bonus having the 2 car parking spots onsite. Short walk to great parks & Salamanca & restaurants/waterfront. The house had all the basics we needed & was clean & homely. Only issue was we didn’t have wifi. Would stay there again.

Thanks Angela for your review, we're pleased you enjoyed the home and it's great location. We're not sure why the wifi didn't work for you as other guests have had no issues, so this must have only been temporary.
Lovely house, well stocked, good for large groups,
great location, stylish and beautiful
