We loved being able to walk just down to Salamanca markets and for our Mona tour and Boat tour to Bruny, what a fantastic location.Lots of room for us all, comfy beds and gorgeous kitchen table for us all to sit around and chat.Thanks again, we had a wonderful long weekend

We cannot fault our stay at Davey House. Clare is a wonderful host, and the property was everything we could have hoped for, and more! (Luxe Aesop products was such a treat) Thank you Clare, we hope to be back again.

Ladies Book Club Hobart Holiday

Brilliant location and the property was perfect for a large group. The house is a short walk from everything in Hobart including the bus pickup spot for all tours.

Family weekend in Hobart

Fabulous home away from home

Davey House is walking distance to all the main tourist spots which made it the perfect place for our weekend away. The kitchen was really well stocked and the living room was a comfy space to hang out in. We loved our weekend in the Davey House.

Fantastic experience!

The property location was excellent, clean, and tidy, and the host was easy to communicate with. The house is lovely, and we enjoyed being so close to everything in town. It easily fit both our families!

What a gorgeous well appointed, generous house and in such a central location - we had such a fun weekend exploring Hobart and then it was so lovely to come back in to the Davey House the evenings to hang and catch up in such a warm and cosy home.Instructions were helpful and communication with Clare fabulous. Will be looking forward to being able to stay again sometime

What a wonderful place in a fabulous location

This is a great place to stay and moments walk to where it's all happening. The photos don't do the property justice, it's light and bright and very welcoming. Plenty of room for all, beautifully decorated and great attention to detail including top notch amenities, lovely linen and thoughtful touches. Highly recommended.

A Magic Christmas

Our extended family stayed at this property over Christmas and it was just perfect! We had everything we needed to make ourselves a beautiful Christmas lunch with produce sourced locally from Salamanca. Everything was within walking distance and the house was just devine, we really didn’t want to leave!

We were a group of 7. The house was perfectly presented and positioned for a great long weekend in Hobart. The host was rapid in response and provided all the relevant information. We would all happily stay here again and would just a readily recommend Davey House to anyone travelling to Hobart

Historical luxury in the city centre

The photos nor the description do this place justice. It was so beautiful and perfectly historic accommodation. We really felt we were embedded in Hobart and it's history. You need to include a photo of it's external look! It is in the city centre which meant we could walk to so many wonderful places. Whilst large enough for our group, it was still cosy and all the essential amenities were provided. It was seriously luxurious. The hosts were excellent, responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Beautiful historic home, short walk to everything

The house was very comfortable. The kitchen was well fitted out, the bedrooms spacious and it was spotless. It is an historic home, and so there are a few "quirks" about the house, which we loved, though the stairs may be an issue for less mobile people. We stayed as a girls' weekend, and the rooms all converted to single beds, which was very flexible. The location is a short walk to everything we wanted to do/see in Hobart. The host, Clare, was excellent with her communication, and accommodated both and early check in and late check out. We definitely would stay here again, and recommend to others.

Top locale - house with everything!

Davey House was perfect for our group of four galpals - three from overseas as it was their first trip to Oz and Tasmania + Hobart. The house had everything we needed from the kitchen to the bedrooms - it is exactly as noted in the description with terrific and timely communication from the owner. As noted and only a downside if stairs are hard for your party - the house is indeed a four-storey Georgian semi and you will need to go up or down to the bathroom from the 2 main bedrooms! Also do watch the parking limit signs around the house - we found it easy to move our rental car, and as we were staying over a weekend, it was free parking the majority of our stay. Finally - you can't beat the house's location - all walking distance to the docks, Salamanca, Battery Point and major galleries, museums, and restaurants. Highly recommend Davey House for a lovely and atmospheric stay in a truly gorgeous and unique city.

Wedding Stay Accomodation

An overall excellent property. Perfect location with a short walk to Salamanca, historic Battery Point, and the Hobart CBD (less than 10min for each). Easily accomodates a large group over it's 4 levels, the kitchen is extremely well appointed and usable. The living area is great with everything you need to entertain for a night in. We stayed here for our wedding accommodation, and it was perfect. We will highly recommend to any large group, and will look at staying here in the future. Thank you Clare for your great corrospdance and accomodation.
