This pet-friendly, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Silver Bear condo is conveniently located within walking distance to the base of Canyon Lodge, the ski slopes and the Village Gondola. Upon arrival, there is an assigned indoor parking space in the heated garage and one additional parking space outside. There is elevator access to the unit and luggage racks available to make unloading the car a breeze.

Upon entering the condo you will notice an open floorplan. The living area faces out towards a corner of large windows and is flooded with an abundance of natural light. Relax on the sectional sofa and enjoy the cozy gas fireplace. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, ample counter space and is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy cooking a wonderful meal without having to leave the premises. The six-person dining room table and kitchen counter bar complete the open and inclusive floor plan. For your convenience, the condo has a private stackable washer and dryer.

The master bedroom features a Queen bed, wall-mounted flatscreen TV, lounge chair, and en-suite full bathroom with double vanity and tub/shower combo. The second bedroom boasts two double beds, wall-mounted flat screen TV, and has access to a full bathroom that can be locked off to either be shared or en-suite, also with a double vanity and tub/shower combo. Lastly, a big plus is that you can bring your beloved dog along with you, as the unit is pet friendly.

Silver Bear is in a great location. In winter, it’s an easy 5 min walk up Lakeview Blvd to Canyon Lodge for chairlift access to the slopes or the free Gondola to Mammoth Village and all its shops, bars and restaurants. Canyon Lodge also has a full-service sports shop and retail plus dining and après ski. The bus stop for the Blue Line shuttle and year-round Night Trolley is very close by which can take you to the slopes or town. The shuttle and Village Gondola run from mid-December to mid-April when Canyon Lodge is open. In Summer, the Lakes area for water sports, biking and hiking are only minutes driving as is the Sierra Star golf course and downtown Mammoth. The Silver Bear common area has an recreation room to enjoy with a lounge with a Foosball table, fireplace and reading area, as well as showers. There is a year round sauna, covered Jacuzzi, outdoor Jacuzzi, communal gas BBQ grill area and in Summer a small plunge pool and fire pit. Enjoy a heated underground and parking garage for 1 car (garage clearance is 7' 2") with interior hallways and accessible elevator access to your unit on the 2nd floor. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. This Mammoth condo sleeps a maximum of 6 people, and is pet friendly (one dog allowed, second dog upon approval only). Guests will be provided two parking passes. Great spring skiing family getaway!

This is our second year staying here for a spring skiing weekend with our family, including the dog. We love this accommodation - it's spacious and comfortable. We were able to alternate remote work with ski sessions, with plenty of room to spread out and relax. So convenient to Canyon Lodge! We prepared almost all of our meals at home thanks to the well-stocked kitchen. Comfy beds, roomy double-sink bathrooms, places to stash ski-gear inside, washer/dryer, indoor parking, and pet friendly -- everything we wanted, and more. Thank you!

Summer fun

Parking was easy, and secure. Great location with a bus stop nearby to get around. Nice finishes inside, looks to have been recently updated. The tv is small which was fine with us, has everything you need to enjoy a stay and cook at the condo.

The location is great, and the unit was clean. Parking is great as is the use of an elevator and luggage cart made moving so easy. The 4 stars vs. 5 overall is due to the somewhat limited supplies and TV. While the basics are there it was not equipped all that well, having 1 kitchen towel, no hot pads, 1 wine glass etc, along with a standard def TV that is small than most computer monitors is the only reason for 4 star.

Great Location Minor Maintenance Needed

Location was excellent, garage parking was great, and is pet-friendly. Overall the condo was nice. We had minor issues with ceiling leaks (after 350”+ of snow), bees (3 all easily swatted) and the door lock. Almost all the front room lighting is cool white which is so very bright. Felt like a rental being cleaned but not maintained. The location is everything and would stay at Silver Bear again.

The front door lock is terrible please change. The unit does not have AC please make it clear in the property description. The swimming pool does not match the picture listed on your property description. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Our only complaint were both showers were confusing on how to control the temperature. Mini pool and jacuzzi were a plus! We liked the floor fans available for the summer heat and so happy would could bring our dog! We also struggled on opening the front door as instructions were not clear when using the key and or code.

Better than expected!

The reviews are a little harsh on this place. We were happily surprised! The condo is spacious, clean and nice, and when the wifi wasn't working, I get help immediately from the 800 number to reset it. Unfortunately, the community game room and pools are closed due to Covid so plan accordingly. The only other thing to mention is that you need to bring your own laundry detergent otherwise you have everything you need including a fan.

Garage parking with access to an elevator up to the condo in the second floor made getting in and out a breeze, even when it snowed. The location just walking distance from Canyon Lodge allowed us to ski and come back to the condo for lunch. The place had everything we needed to cook all our meals, store all our gear. Comfy beds, big bathrooms. The management was responsive when we emailed about a broken lightbulb. Only downside was noise from unit above.

No personal touch

The property is old with many things not working properly, the dishwasher, faucet, door lock, also foosball, and sauna in common area. The management is strict and cold and totally devoid of personal touch, which made a huge difference in the perception of hospitality. People put up with all these things because of the high seasonal demand. We always have wonderful experiences with other similar rentals because of the hospitality factor, they are usually hosted by owners. This management company certainly left a bad taste for us and made us want to go elsewhere next time

Great location but disappointing stay

Listing says it can sleep 6-7, but it really can only sleep 4. In general, the management company doesn't have a close eye on the property. One evening we ran out of hot water. I left a message with management company and somebody was sent out an hour later. The owner didn't provide the management company with keys to the hot water closet and so 2 of our family members couldn't take showers (after 3 hours we still didn't have hot water). The company never followed up with us the next day as promised, but did text me to ask about plumbing issues to help them with another property down the hall-apparently this entire property has frequent plumbing issues. Tv didn't work. Just no extra touches to make it feel warm and welcome, like when a property is owned by an independent owner and not managed by a company. All that said, it's a great location and has a nice corner view of the mountain at sunrise.

Sweatin’ to the oldies

This 2br condo has potential of a good stay but fell short of expectations. The check in process was fine and directions clear. It was on the second floor of a condo complex in a row of multiple complexes. It was roomy and has an elevator from the parking area. The kitchen is well stocked and laid out. The bedrooms were fine. It could use some updating in the furniture and tv. It was difficult to sleep at night because it was so warm in the room. We were there at the end of June. There was a thermostat but only for decoration; it did nothing. There was a fan provided but could not cool the condo to lower than 82 degrees with all the windows open. The “pool” was not much bigger than the spa and the fire pit was boarded up. This could be a nice stay in the winter. On our last day we were awakened to a lot of work going on outside at around 7:00 AM. By 8:00 the workers were pouring asphalt in the driveway to re-slurry it. Our car was trapped from leaving until “noon” the worker said. There was no communication about this upcoming work. We could have parked across the street had we known and started our day as planned.

Needs maintenance!!!

Reviewer Comments: At face value it looked more modern than most condos I viewed however upon our stay many issues arose. The first of which was a leak from the floor above resulting in toilet water dripping from the ceiling vent in the bathroom. The vent cover in the bedroom was not attached on one side and the fireplace came with no directions. As a fairly handy guy I know how fireplaces work however it wasn’t until I called the emergency line about the leak and they sent out the the property manager were we able to discover a tiny toggle switch on the side of the timer box that controlled its power. Over the course of the week, we kept having to reignite the fireplace to keep it on until finally figuring out that it along with the heater was tied to the thermostat and if the temp went above the set temp of the room it turned the fireplace off.... Weird setup. Tip to owner - Directions for the fireplace is a definite must. We figured if you turn off the thermostat the fireplace would stay on. The water heater has a limited supply and barely allowed for 3 people to take 5 min showers. The coffee pot had no filters. The table and furniture were incredibly dusty. It had a random assortment of lights most which were unplugged and had a mixture of bright white led light bulbs and then other had warm light bulbs creating a weird lighting situation. The tenants above were very loud and kept us upon some nights until 1 in the morning due to little insulation between their floor and our ceilings, as you could hear there movement whenever they were there. The jacuzzi was frozen over and inoperable due to a lack of parts. Lots of room for improvement here. Very disappointed in this rental overall.

Beautiful Condo near the lift.

This beautiful condo was perfect for our family and our puppy. The garage parking was a God-send as 3 feet of snow dumped while we were there. In addition, the surprise luggage carts made getting our belongings from the car to the unit a breeze. I've never seen luggage carts at a rental - It was awesome. The unit had everything we needed and was super clean. We would definitely stay there again.
