"Warm", "light," and "catches the afternoon sun" - how some of our guests describe The Bear Cave. New mink blankets on the couches and the heat from the afternoon sun will keep you warm, but the new pellet stove and drapery are also sources for additional warmth. When not admiring the views of Mammoth Mountain from the windows, we offer books, board games, and cable TV. We have a new 55" flat-screen LED TV wall-mounted above the fireplace. There are also 32" TVs (with cable) in both bedrooms as well. These TVs can be enjoyed while snuggling in bed under new linens. You are bound to get a perfect night's sleep with our new pillows to rest your weary head upon.
If you're craving a home-cooked meal, the kitchen will not disappoint. It is fully equipped with everything you may need for cooking or baking. A toaster, blender and coffee maker provides the energy needed to survive a day of bushwhacking, hiking, fishing, or mountain biking. A Panini press is available if a hot lunch is desired. Beaters and muffin trays are begging to be used for holiday baking (don't forget, you're baking at altitude!). There's even a slow cooker so you can "set it and forget it," and come home after a long day to a ready-made meal in an aromatic condo.
The master suite has a queen bed and a private bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. The second bathroom is upstairs. This bathroom has an accessible double-vanity outside of its own private shower area.
For the unfortunate ones that have to bring their work, we offer free internet access for you to do so. At least you can enjoy the mountain views and scent of pine trees while working in this peaceful and quiet newly renovated condo.
The Eagle Lodge ski lift is just up the road and within easy walking distance - a stone's throw away. This is a beginner lift, a lift for those looking to stay away from the crowds, and a lift that allows for a starting point to explore all of Mammoth Mountain. Rentals, ticket sales, ski school, and dining are also available at Eagle Lodge, so there's no need to drive into town.
We are confident you will enjoy your stay in this spacious and popular Mammoth Lakes condo, with its high reviews, and you will most definitely come back again. Don't forget to see some favorite sights like Devils Postile and Rainbow Falls. For a one of a kind experience visit Bodie, a ghost town frozen in time and preserved in a state of arrested decay. Yosemite National Park is just "down the road" and home to many famous and majestic attractions. All are a must-see for any California trip!
(However a word about ski-in/out. The unwritten implication here is when there is sufficient snow. In lean seasons, you may have to hoof it a bit. Please check local conditions before booking.)
