Our third stay at this cabin due to its proximity to friends and trails. Could use some TLC, but works perfectly for our purpose. Plan to stay again next year.
The place was clean and secluded. The caretaker was friendly and helpful. We needed a relaxing vacation and this cabin was perfect. We will be booking it again in the future.
Perfect cabin in the woods. Great place to make memories. Brought back nostalgic memories of when I was a kid. All of us crammed in the cabin. Was pleased with the ample parking. Was easy to maneuver 3500 dully truck, 2 other trucks and trailer here. Rustic, rural, semi private (you still need to be respectful of country neighbors)
Very appreciative they have the patience to rent to the public, and share their personal property with others.
The location of the property on google maps shows it across the street and the address sign is hard to see. We were confronted by the property owner across the street for tresspsssing. He was very upset and says this happensofoften. I butllwembarressed

We did not stay even one night
We don't believe the listing lived up to the pictures of the property. My wife felt very uncomfortable, especially with the neighbor yelling at his dogs. We understand as dog owners, that sometimes dog just don't listen, but this was beyond "normal"
We checked in about 4:30 and left about 8:30 pm the same day. We are hoping for a refund of some sort, but if not ok.

Jeff, thank you for staying with us! We're sorry you did not enjoy your visit.
- We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but sometimes external factors like the neighbor’s yelling are simply out of our control. We asked our cleaning crew who happens to live next door for any context but he wasn't aware of the issue. We apologize this was your experience and that you couldn't stay longer.
Thank you for your feedback!

Meh - Not bad
Our stay was okay, the location is ideal though. The photos of this rental seem to be out dated & make this cabin look nicer than it is. There was no gazebo outside & the furniture on the inside is a bit different. The cleaning lady was still cleaning the cabin when we arrived at 3pm for check in. She was super friendly & was running behind, not a huge issue at all. However, the overall appearance of this cabin is meh. There were dead bugs and old dried up eye contacts in the window sill up in the loft area, the floor in the loft is just plywood with rugs over it, and there was no hand soap in the kitchen, we had to buy our own. The listing stated that there was air conditioning, but when we arrived in the 90 degree weather, we were told that it hadn't been hooked up yet. With the help of the cleaning gal, we ended up plugging in the air conditioner & turning it on, luckily, the cleaning gal fixed the air conditioner to vent out of the window otherwise we wouldn't have realized that the exhaust was going into the cabin. The outdoor furniture was covered in pollen & we had to clean it ourselves in order to use it. We don't go up north to stay in a hotel or live in luxury but this was just a bit too outdated and rustic for our liking. Compared to other listings in the area, this cabin seems a bit overpriced. This place needs some renovations & love. It has so much potential. If you are a hunter or there to ride, this place is good to rest your head but that's about it.
My son wants to come back because the neighbors were awesome definitely going to come back home was nice trails were great thanks for the memories the Stewart's
Terrible experience. No gazebo no grill no quiet relaxation. Neighbors dogs constantly over and owners yelling for their dogs. Neighbors trashy yard is all you see. Dishes in the drying rack when we arrived. Blood in the vegetable drawer in the fridge from 1920 that the freezer was tapped shut full of frost. Have pictures and will be posting. Called owner Friday night when we left has not called us back. Worst experience ever.

Hi Richard, the homeowners have asked us to share this response: We took your complaints and concerns very seriously, as we do for all guests. We answered your phone calls and messages promptly and did all we could to make things right. It is unclear to me why you felt the need to post a review that is riddled with misleading information. We cannot please everyone, but there is no doubt we try. As for items you could not locate, they were all in the shed and easily accessible. Your concerns were addressed, and we are confident future guests will not have any similar issues. We take pride in our cabin and seek to make staying here a positive experience for everyone. We are disappointed you did not enjoy yourself as we acted in good faith and did all we could to bring about an agreeable resolution.
Cabin was great and as advertised. Driveway was very narrow and could have been plowed better. Had trouble backing in trailer to unload. Neighbors dogs barking and them yelling to get them to come back became a little annoying. Could use some ice melt for side door steps. Otherwise a great stay. Had trouble getting key lock put back so left key inside of cabin and emailed owner.
