Alongside Katoomba, Leura is considered the heart of the Blue Mountains. This suburb is more of a charming township with a farm-to-table dining scene, boutique shopping and gourmet cafe culture centred around Leura Mall. It’s also home to inviting local attractions, such as a teapot museum and historic art deco home. Leura also boasts some of the most popular Blue Mountains lookouts and walking trails, including Gordon Falls and Lyrebird Dell.

Leura Station is about 1.4 kilometres away and has regular trains to and from the Sydney CBD in around two hours. There are bus stops next to the train station on Railway Parade with multiple lines servicing Leura and neighbouring Blue Mountains towns.

Ride sharing apps are a safe and easy way to get around, especially late at night when public transport services are less frequent. Prices are about two-thirds of a taxi, but may surge during bad weather or public events.
