This ambient recently renovated one bedroom property offers plenty of space to spread out. It`s comfortable and quiet and yet is an easy 10 minute stroll to the local village and 15 minutes walk to the Wentworth Falls Lake. Bushwalks are right nearby, yet its only 2 minutes drive to the highway so access to everything in The Blue Mountains is always easy. 5 minute drive or pleasant half hour walk down to The Wentworth Falls. Direct access to the Charles Darwin walk at the rear of the property
( currently being upgraded, is half open and will fully re-open soon..... ).
A fully separate unit located in a local landmark property of one acre in Wentworth falls, it is located in a lovely spacious garden that has a naturally restful ambience and offers a lot of space to fully relax and unwind.
The unit features a full kitchen with dishwasher, oven, etc and bathroom with separate bath and shower, and full laundry all included which makes it ideal for longer stays as well....... Really cosy in winter with it`s wafty, warm central heating and north facing aspect and comfy lounges.
Off street driveway parking with private access, self check in/check out and free WiFi help make your stay easy and comfortable from the get go, allowing you more time to make the most of your holiday in the mountains.
Located in a quiet street, yet easy access to all that is great about the wondrous Blue Mountains, and unsurpassed space and comfort makes this property an ideal getaway for the price.

The Suenaga Suite located in the same property as the Origami Apartment and the Haiku Hut in case you want to sync up your stay with another couple/s or friends and is the largest of the three accommodations.

( Please Note: there will be some building works happening in the adjacent property from September 2023 Mon - Fri as a new dwelling gets constructed, until further notice. Luckily so far this has not seemed to affect guests who have stayed since commencement as can be seen in reviews and most of the noisy work has been done already....). updated 1/1/2024.

Excellent Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Suenaga Suite! Lovely and spacious, warm, inviting and we made great use of the well-stocked kitchen. The bath was also a definite highlight. Communication was easy and thorough, great location and set on a beautiful property. Would definitely stay again.

Wentworth Falls Accommodation

This place was awesome. Check in was so easy and everything we needed was there. It was central to all the places we wanted to visit. Would definitely stay there again. The hosts should be proud of what they have created. We loved every minute.

Great base for Blue Mountains

This was a great base for us to explore the Blue Mountains! Loved all the retro furnishings. Easy to get to Leura and Katoomba. Jenolan Caves was well worth the drive too. Check-in guide has great recommendations for coffee and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Perfect stay to explore the blue mountains

Lovely peaceful accommodation. We loved the property’s interior, a mix of oriental meets retro. It’s the perfect place as a base to explore the blue mountains.

I am an owner builder, renovator with a history of successful holiday let properties here in the Blue mountains and on the South Coast of NSW. I enjoy having guests from all walks of life stay at this property as it is such a unique experience and a great place from which to enjoy what the Blue Mountains has to offer.

Why they chose this property

When me and my partner purchased this property we soon realized it was too large for just us so we have decided to let out parts of it for holiday stays.
Originally built as a large estate with stables called "Caringa" in 1910. It was designed by renowned Architect George Sydney Jones ( son of retailer the famous David Jones ). After WW1 it became a respite hospital in 1919 "Shalvah" and then later a nursing home named "Grosvenor" from 1964 till closing in 1993 ( this name is still registered with Google maps and comes up when searching the address ).
With this sense of history it is a truly unique property and is located conveniently close to town with easy level access to a lovely street front for parking, yet it is also located in one of the quietest streets of Wentworth Falls, and being on a large block there are no neighbours immediately close by.
Facing north to the sun and with good central heating you will never be cold during the winter and is light and breezy in the warmer months with a nice outdoor seating areas in the restored fully landscaped garden.
All this makes for a really pleasant and relaxing stay experience.

What makes this property unique

Comfortable, spacious, secluded, convenient = relaxation. Perfect getaway for a couple requiring a little less stress in their lives and more time for the good things. Its also a little quirky and intriguing....
