Awful cleaning
Property was filthy from top to bottom from trash laying on curb out front to bugs and dirt in every room inside and urine stench in garage. When I contacted the property manager and described the issues on the first night and sent pics, his response was that it wasn’t so bad and offered me the cleaning persons number for me to contact them as if THAT was MY JOB.

Response from VrboOwner on 23 January 2025
Hi Clayton, thank you for sharing your concerns about your stay. The homeowner has reviewed your comments and wanted to provide clarification and additional context:- The property had undergone extensive cleaning and preparation after a long-term tenant. We also personally inspected the home and ensured it was guest-ready. We regret that it did not meet your expectations.- The trash issue was due to a missed city pickup during the New Year holiday. We recommended placing additional trash next to the bin temporarily, as it was outside our control.- Regarding the garage and towels, we investigated your feedback and found no unusual odors during or after your stay.- The HVAC system was inspected by a specialist after your visit, and no issues were found. We apologize if the temperature was uncomfortable during your time at the property.- Additionally, we refunded you $54 for the inconvenience caused. We value guest feedback and will continue working to ensure all guests have a comfortable experience.

A direct shot to Amelia Island
We stay at Vintage Palm in north Jacksonville because Amelia Island was totally booked up due to the Concours d’elegance and car auctions. It was about a 20-25 minute drive to get there straight up SR-17.
Neighborhood is in transition, which we were skeptical of at first but turned out to be very quiet.
Great local Italian/Pizza place, Joseph’s a few blocks away.
House was exceptionally clean and very comfortable.
Kim, the contact person was great.
Very cozy house, comfortable beds, we slept comfortably and calmly. Beautiful very large backyard with huge trees. Convenient check-in, polite owners. We really enjoyed!
This property looks just like it does in the pictures!! It was the perfect space for me and my 4 kids!! It’s just minutes from San Marco, downtown, St. John’s River, and the Jacksonville Zoo. The area looks a little rough as you come into the neighborhood, but it was quiet and peaceful! I would definitely rent this property again!!!

Family retreat
I booked this nice cottage like home to spend time with my family. It’s was very spacious for my grandson to run and play. The rooms were large and everything was new!! We slept good at night and the neighborhood was quiet. We had a car so we were able to shop and visit the beaches. This was my first time in Jacksonville. When I return I would stay again. This is a family friendly home.
