About this property

Blue Horizon has three bedrooms, one toilet, separate bathroom and a large open plan kitchen/dining and lounge room. Ceiling fans in main living areas and are on timers to save power when not at unit. Huge undercover BBQ area. Plenty of parking and fire pit. There are NO power points for external devices as this property is powered by solar and back up batteries. This means, NO games stations, sleep apnea machines, toasters, kettles, coffee machines etc. There is however two USB charging points for charging phones etc.

Please note change overs are on Sundays

Affordable, huge space

This is a huge area with everything you need for a stay on Fraser Island. A great base for visiting all the amazing areas the Island has to offer. It was very affordable and there was plenty of room for the 11 of us to sread out in the evenings after our day out. Would definitely recommend

Dissapointing. Wont ever go back

This was my 6th stay on Ngari and even tough I may be returning it wont be to this place. When we arrived (hard to find) the property wasnt good. Sheets, and towels hanging all over the verandah (like a chinese laundry), fridge not working (actually towels had been placed all over inside of the fridge; as if it was on defrost cycle. Had to be a health hazard and next day (overnight) only barely gotten a little colder); fridge wouldnt keep our meat or pre-made meals cold (or drinks) had to put back in car fridge. Property stuck in a time warp in the 70's with lace curtains, collections of shells and teaspoons in locked showcases from that era, sheets all covering lounges etc. Bathroom never finished painting and granny floral tiles. I We paid for whole house but as there were only 3 of us caretaker only made beds in 2 rooms. Really??? My boys each have their own rooms at home. This house however the walls for the rooms in B1 &B2 dont go to ceiling so if you wake early nd turn on lights they are up too (no bedside lamps). Located in the western side of orchid beach, long way from servo. TV still has stickers on it when it was purchased like 15 years ago and really BASIC instructions shaming kids if they use the tv. I apologised to my kids that 1st night for booking this duplex & we agreed that even after we drove 8hrs & 480km to get there we would return home the next day which we did. $2000 we paid for the week stayed 1 night, very happy to go & not staying another night

its good and not so good in other areas

House had plenty of room great entertainment area good for meals only downside had no power points at all only a usb point in kitchen and fans in lounge are on a 2 hr timer back rooms were very hot great for adults but not this generation of kids as there is no wifi value for money though considering your on Fraser

Excellent stay for families

We had 3 families stay at the house at Orchid beach, it was perfect especially considering we didn't have the best conditions. The owner was very helpful
