Hi Nicole, sorry we didnt meet your expectations. Its a shame that you didnt contact us when you arrived or during your stay so that we could have addressed your concerns. Always better to let us know while you are staying so that we can fix the problem and so that you can have an enjoyable stay.

Thanks for staying with us,
We loved the kangaroos and kookaburras outside and warm fire inside. The set up was perfect for our extended family stay with our plenty of space to relax or to have a family meal. It was a short stroll into town or start of several hikes.
The location is excellent, it overlooks a park where kangaroos by the dozens come to eat and relax. This place is big enough for 10 adults and the wood fire was a must as the nights do get very cold. The eight ball table needs to be replaced but we managed to have a couple of games on it. I would stay here again.
It would be nice If the description tells the fire ban season and the outdoor campfire can't be used, after all, the feature is quite important. It would be nice if the pool table could be fixed. Bascially, quite nice experience!
When we go away we want a place that's clean and warm. If it's in a good spot it's a bonus. Parkview South was clean, warm and situated in a fabulous location. Overlooking the football oval you had your own almost private zoo. Kangaroos, joeys, emus, rosellas and galahs greeted us at various times. Pleasant walks were easily accessible and it was only minutes to the shops on foot.
The guidebook, down loadable to your phone, was very comprehensive and provided step by step instructions for everything but the kitchen sink (it probably did give instructions for the kitchen sink but, if it did, I didn't need them). It even included videos for lighting the wood fire heater. Janet, the property manager, was always ready with a quick reply to any queries we had leading up to our stay. Even the constant rain on Saturday didn't dampen our enthusiasm. Some of our number put on their rain gear and ventured out. The rest of us enjoyed the fire, food, games and conversation. Highly recommended.
Comfortable, spacious & well equipped accommodation. Kangaroos, Emu’s & Cockatoo’s a hit with the children (and adults!!). A beautiful, natural & peaceful location..grandchildren quite happy to play outside & undercover decking a bonus when raining.
Loved spending our holiday in this great holiday home plenty of room, very comfortable beds. Great fireplace kept us warm throughout our stay, was great to wake up to kangaroos outside of our window, would highly recommend for big families, Thank you.
Excellent location and facilities - needs a clean!
Positives: fabulous location, a very short walk to Halls Gap, Venus Baths and botanical gardens. Cricket oval in front of the house is full of kangaroos which the kids loved. The pool table was great and well used. The combustion fire keeps the place very warm and there was plenty of room for two families and 7 kids.
Negatives: the place needs a deep clean. It was tidy and the floors and bench tops are clean but there are cobwebs and dust on and things and the insides of cupboards are dirty. One deep clean and it would be so much better! There is also writing on the slats of the bunk beds, with some swearing, which upset the kids sleeping under them. Again, an easy fix with a sand. Also the sandwhich press and toaster don’t work properly and there were no garbage bags or much cleaning products. Small things, but they make a difference.
Ultimately we had an excellent holiday and we’d definitely stay here again but a bit of attention could take it from good to great!
The location of this property is fantastic, it is opposite an oval where the wildlife hang around , this is great to watch and it's also walking distance to some shops and to the centre of Halls Gap, however this property could do with some maintenance and cleaning. This is my second time I've stayed at this property, and I don't think I'll be staying there a third time. This is a five-bedroom place so it’s great for big family’s or a group of friends but considering the rates you pay; I’d expect the cobwebs and dust to be removed. The main light in one of the bedrooms didn’t work but luckily the side lamps did, so it wasn’t a big deal. The outside BBQ was little dirty, so we didn’t use that. The ceiling fans throughout need to be replaced, they are old, dated and very dirty. We ran out of hot water on one of the days when we all tried to have a shower. The exhaust fan above the hotplates is very noisy and didn’t work properly on one of the fan speeds.
The light above the eight-ball table was very dim which made it hard to use once it was dark and you had to rely on the interior lights, we ended up swapping the globe to help see.
All these things are little things, but it adds up and like I said before, for the rates you pay these little things shouldn’t exist.
On leaving we mopped the floor, done the dishes and vacuum the floors, I felt the place was cleaner when we left than when we arrived.
We have stayed in this property five years ago and love just as much. Lovely big house, well equipped. Short walk in to Halls Gap. Wild life on your doorstep.
