For Summer dates, I offer a 3-night minimum weekend, Friday - Monday or I offer 2-night minimum mid-week rental from Monday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Friday. (Can start on Sunday if available)

Tim is an incredible host and communicator. Whiteface lodge needs some updates but the room was incredible, 5 stars to Tim but whiteface lodge needs some improvements. We have traveled to this hotel many times over the past 10 years and some things just need a refresh. Gameroom, sauna wasn’t working and because they once had a fire they aren’t lighting the fireplaces in the Peak 47 bar and lounge. This is the whole point of our luxury weekend in the mountains.

Mike, really appreciate the praises and so glad you enjoyed the Suite in particular. I met with the GM this morning to address your concerns. I can share that the Gameroom is up and running and they are working on a fix for the men's sauna. They are hoping to have at a minimum one of fireplaces in Peak 47 working in the near future. In the meantime they have decorated it with candles to create ambiance. The fireplaces in the Restaurant are both up and running. It is a safety issue and something to still be repaired in the Peak 47 bar and lounge. We are all hoping soon. Thank you again and happy to welcome you back anytime.

We had a very relaxing weekend staying at the whiteface lodge and we enjoyed all the facilities the grounds had to offer. Everything was serene and beautiful. Communications, booking and checking in were all smooth. The one bedroom suite was very spacious and well appointed.

The property was beautiful and clean and perfectly decorated. The only issues we had were that our picture window in our room was completely hazed out compromising the view. We also had a problem with the t.v. in the living room just turning off on its own while we were watching it. We called the front desk and they sent someone up who seemed to reset it but we still had problems with it repeatedly turning off or just having sound with no picture. Otherwise the room and property were just as described, would definitely recommend.

Been going here for 20 years….the property has held up well and the ambiance is still great. Service time in the restaurant was very slow and had to call to get the room cleaned late in the afternoon. I assume they have issues getting enough help like most places.

Carol, Thank you for your review. I am so glad you had a wonderful time and enjoyed both the property and the resort. It really is a special place! There is both a restaurant and a (pub) bar & lounge in the property and in there they serve a range of items from from salads, pizza to burgers, etc. You aren't wrong! Prices after the pandemic have certainly gone up everywhere to cover rising food costs and staffing so we are all feeling it. Fortunately the Suites have kitchens too where guests can cook their own meals that are bit more budget conscious. I will say, I was up there this past week myself and both the salad and burger I had were fantastic so felt good about that! I look forward to assisting you again in the future. Winter and Summer are great too! And for anyone reading this a great sandwich shop called Simply Gourmet is just down the road if you are looking for an affordable, but yet delicious option to go. Thanks again.

Wonderful lodge with lots of activities

I rented this for my son and his new bride for a getaway. Great place to relax or do the many activities the lodge offers. Come and cozy. I have stayed her myself and love it. The host was quickly responsive with any questions.

Very nice spot

The hotel is great and the room was nice and convenient. Close enough to lobby that it was super convenient, but far enough away that there was complete quiet. Room had a w/d in it which we didn't realize and was a nice bonus. Tim was very helpful in offering restaurant suggestions and working with our dates to get the room ready. would definitely book again.

Great time-sister getaway

Had a fabulous time with my sister at whiteface lodge! Many things to do at the resort! Listing was accurate and was a great set up for us! Directions to the washer/dryer would have been helpful! The pull out sofa was not very comfortable. However, we didn’t let the little things get in the way of having fun! Thanks, we would definitely stay again!!

Amazing stay!

We loved our stay and the lodge. One really big problem was the washer/dryer that did not work. When we told the front desk they said oh they don’t work very well, don’t put too much in etc. — well they didn’t work with just one pair of clothing so it want that. And we were told to got to the basement to use the washer dryer there, which is a nice offer except it was very wet far and inconvenient.

I will be sure to follow up with the Lodge to make sure that the Washer/Dryer gets looked at and repaired/or replaced asap. Fortunately there is a backup for this. You can actually get to the other laundry facility on site by going down to the finished basement level and through an underground pathway (so you don't even have to go outside) where there are additional washer and dryer machines for Guest's use. My wife and I have stayed at Whiteface Lodge many times since it was built. This was the first experience where breakfast was not included in the room charge (After the fact, I saw in the contract that meals were not included) The bottom line is that it would have been less costly to have booked an identical room directly through the hotel. Live and learn!

All of the available services and amenities are included in our stays. Our reservations do not include the breakfast buffet. We do take that into account when creating our rates. We offer our suites at very competitive rates throughout the year and in most instances it turns out to be a great value and a win-win for everyone.

Winter Love

The Whiteface Lodge has excellent customer service. Everyone is very friendly and seems dedicated to creating a inviting atmosphere. The suite was also cozy and spacious. There is a fire place, jacuzzi tub, two bathrooms, and full kitchen. My wife and I came to recommit our vows and it was very romantic. We spent some afternoon time in the jacuzzi and spa. The only issue we had was with Kanu; it is one of the restaurants on premisies. The décor was beautiful, however the food did not equal the ambience. My wife's sole was bland and mushy. The customer service did shine again however, because they took her dinner off the bill. The Peak 47 was very good for lunch and we would definitely eat there again

The Whiteface Lodge is the only Lake Placid property in my exclusive portfolio because when I am visiting Lake Placid there is nowhere else I would rather stay! I am an owner here at this property too. I am renting a Junior Suite, multiple 1, 2 and 3 Bedroom Suites, and two separate 3 Bedroom Grand Lodge Suites at this property.

Because it's Awesome! If you are looking for more than just a room to lie your head down, this property has all the amenities to pamper you and your family. You can fill your entire day with everything from swimming in the pools and hot tubs to playing in the game room, watching a movie in the theater, to treating yourself to a spa treatment or taking a quick trip down to the guest only Canoe "Beach" Club. I love bringing my family here, but I also like treating my friends. The property is great for couples and large groups too. We love getting together here and each time we do it is a very special experience.
