My sister & I stayed at The Lodge. We had a relaxing but also a fun time. So many things to do in the games room. The views are spectacular. The hosts were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. The Lodge had everything you could possibly need. I highly recommend this property

The perfect weekend away
A beautiful property that is perfect for a weekend to unwind, relax and get in touch with nature. The lodge was fully equipped, functional and so homely. Sitting by the fire or relaxing in the spa was pure bliss. Mark and Russ were so welcoming and accommodating. We really felt at home. Would definitely recommend this beautiful place and can't wait to visit again.

Amazing Stay.
This place was perfect. Check in was easy and the hosts were lovely. We celebrated a 30th Birthday here with a small group and it was absolutely great. The accommodation is very modern and clean and the games room is awesome even for the adults but the highlights are the spa and the beautiful views. Would definitely visit again.

Abercrombie Ridge Lodge
Stayed at Abercrombie ridge lodge. Both Mark and Russ were helpful and welcoming. The property has great panoramic views. I would probably choose the Barn over the lodge next time as this gives more privacy, the shared games room is attached to the lodge and while it's divided by an interior door it's not quiet as private as being detached from a shared space. Any size dog would need to be leashed as the wildlife will make its way close to your door step and the best behaved dogs may not resist the temptation to chase as there isn't secure fencing. Great location, great views, welcoming hosts. The interior design is to a tasteful high standard especially considering it's pet friendly. Thanks to Mark & Russ

My husband and I have been together for 20 years and we actually live on-site in the Stables. It's our full-time gig to make sure this place is in tip-top shape for all our visitors. We fell in love with this beautiful country getaway and wanted to share it with others.

Creating Abercrombie Ridge has been a labor of love for us over the past 11 years to get it to where it is today. We've put our blood, sweat, and tears into refreshing the property and making it a warm and inviting space for everyone to enjoy.
When you step into The Barn, you'll feel the love that's been poured into it. We're so excited to share this space with you and look forward to welcoming you and your guests to our special piece of paradise.

Why they chose this property

Abercrombie Ridge is located about 26kms from Taralga and 70kms from Goulburn.

We recommend bringing all the essentials, including food and alcohol before leaving town, ands don't forget to top up on fuel before leaving town as we're quite remote!

While you're here, there are plenty of things to do in the local area. You can visit Taralga Wildlife Park or Wombeyan Caves, enjoy a meal at Laggan Pantry, The Argyle Inn or the Sports Club (where all the locals go), or grab a drink with friends at The Taralga Hotel or Laggan Brewing Co. If you're interested in history, the Taralga Historical Society has some interesting relics on display.

For the adventurous, there are also some great places to visit nearby, such as Mayfield Gardens, Abercrombie National Park, and Jenolan Caves, as well as our neighbouring towns of Crookwell, Goulburn, and Oberon – all great towns worth exploring, be sure to see what our beautiful region has to offer!

What makes this property unique

Once on the property, you have complete exclusive use of the facilities and property.

You can enjoy your amazing PRIVATE hot tub which is perfect with a few glasses of wine on sunset or relaxing under the stars.

We have a full games room for the big kids or little kids which has ping pong, pool, giant Jenga, giant chess and foosball.

The property also provides hours of bushwalking and hiking tracks down to the Abercrombie River. If you're planning on exploring the property, make sure to pack some closed walking shoes or trainers, and consider wearing long pants. We want you to be comfortable and safe while enjoying the beautiful views and scenery.
