The cabin was very nice and clean. Location is fantastic. Lots of wildlife roaming about also. We saw plenty of deer while we were there. I highly recommend
Thank you for opening your home to us. The kitchen was well stocked, everything was comfortable, especially the beds, and we loved that walking trails were so close. We thoroughly enjoyed skiing with our boys and cannot wait to visit again.
It was very cozy. Great location and close to Beech Mountain Resort. Cabin was exactly as it was described. Thank you for allowing to stay at your home away from home.
Property was as listed and had all the amenities described. We did not leave the property for 4 days and it was a perfect way to spend the holiday. Even the weather provided a little snow for fun! House was clean and everything was in working order.
Very nice place, good location.Gas grill had no propane tank. Only 1 hand towel in each bathroom, only 2 dish towels. Otherwise very nice.

Hi Beverly, we're so glad to hear you enjoyed the home and its location! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The gas grill runs on a direct line from the property's main 250-gallon propane tank, which supplies the entire home. There's no separate tank needed at the grill itself.- The owner apologizes for the limited towels and has let the cleaning team know to stock more hand and dish towels for future guests. Thanks again for your review. We’re always looking for ways to improve the guest experience!
Great little cabin tucked in the mountains. Perfect for my family plus grandparents. Got snowed in for one day, but the accommodations were great to get us through. Short drive to Beech and Sugar Mountain. We actually drove to Appalachian Ski Mountain due to the congestion at Beech.

Wonderful summer stay
We spent 5 nights at the cabin and had a wonderful time, loved the area. My two boys 12 and 8 and wife loved it. We did a bunch of activities around the area, grandfather mountain, alpine coaster, white water rafting (EDGE of the WORLD in Banner Elk was awesome!), wish we had more time... Everything was perfect. the hiking trail just a few steps from the cabin was really great. Loved sitting by the fire and making smores, some nights we ate dinner on the porch. Everything was clean and cozy. We had great weather with cool mid 60 nights, so the cabin was nice and cool.
We loved this property! It is exactly as pictured! We had a beautiful snow upon arrival. It was a cozy place and plenty of room! Had everything we needed and more! Would be a great place to just getaway and relax but also a few minutes away from Beech Mountain slopes! The host contacted me to confirm door code and asked if we needed anything and continued to communicate as needed. We will definitely stay again!
This cabin is great. Close to Fred's and the sledding hill, also close to tons of hiking trails. Not too far to Banner Elk for a proper grocery store. The cabin is exactly as described and very well stocked with all utensils and items needed to make family meals. The kids loved the loft and loved exploring the yard. We do wish it had a real fireplace, but that's the only criticism. I'm glad we rented a 4WD vehicle for this trip, because the driveway was covered in snow/ice and is pretty steep. If we had a 2WD, it probably would have been a problem. Overall, though, fantastic cabin and tremendous location.
Wonderful 3 night getaway, true vacation hospitality
Our family of 2 (tired) parents and 4 teenagers loved every minute of our time in Beech Mountain. The house had everything we needed, with 2 girls sharing one queen bed, and 1 bed taking one of the queen beds and the other taking the bonus loft area. The hosts stocked the house with everything we need to get started, we appreciated seeing pictures ahead of time and packed more Keurigs, etc. The driveway was very manageable by our minivan, might be a bit trickier in slippery weather. The ski mountain was very close, that was how we spent most of our time. However, the house, wifi, and every gracious detail enabled us to fully relax (and also get some work done). Thank you so much, we hope to be back to do some hiking!
Great house and location but can’t give it 5 stars for a several reasons. The location is fantastic; walking distance to a great hiking trail and wildlife; quick drive to restaurants and town. The house itself is beautiful inside and out but it wasn’t properly cleaned. Master bathroom floor as well as the back of the toilet seat were covered in hair from the previous vacationers; shower curtain liner covered in mold; several kitchen utensils and pans we grabbed to cook meals were not clean (crusted with food); coffee pot had coffee in it from previous vacationers; dirty towel left on back porch. Overall, things that can be easily remedied with more attention to the property, but inexcusable for a rental property.

Hi Scott, The owners take the experience of their guests seriously and want to share this with you: "We truly are sorry for the issues you mentioned, and we have taken steps to insure those things don't happen again! We take pride in our home and also stay there 4-6 weeks a year, and we agree that those items being missed during cleaning is not acceptable."
This cabin was exactly as described. The location was great! I was very impressed with the supplies available for cooking. They had everything you could think of from a bread machine to an ice cream maker! Plenty of wildlife in the area which was great to watch. We would definitely stay here again!
We all enjoyed our stay at bearfoot beech cabin! The cabin was clean and comfortable. We got to enjoy the fire pit and saw plenty of wildlife. We also trailered our motorcycles and were able to park them down below the cabin off the road. The weather was perfect to ride the bikes with a lot of the fall colors to look at!
Well maintained property with nearby hiking access. Wildlife, picturesque views, and all the amenities one needs to relax and enjoy company. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us, it was lovely. ❤️
This property was just as described. Looks recently updated, bedrooms and bathrooms beautifully furnished for a cabin and super comfy and clean. The large kitchen had everything you may need and living area open with large screen tv, books, games- opens out to front deck and kitchen opens out small deck with grill.
Walking distance to numerous hiking trails and short drive to numerous sites, points of interests and activities in the surrounding area. Great stay!
