We loved the fishing nearby and it was close to many of the attractions the Bay of Plenty has to offer. The house worked well for our group and was comfortable and quiet.
Relaxing house which was very comfy. Good layout, beds and showers. Listing does need a little updating - no dryer and no washing line, wifi while free is not unlimited. But a good stay and Hannah was welcoming.
Lovey new home, very user friendly and pleasant. Great grounds and garden. Everything you would need on a break.

Lovely house in a quiet village
We enjoyed the house amenities and quiet streets, great for the kids to run around. Really appreciated we could have our doggo with us! A few inconsistencies with the listing (no dryer, no spa/hot tub) and a couple of repairs that needed to be made when we arrived (high chair backrest was split) but Hannah did her best to remediate these.
Very quiet and friendly neighbourhood feel to the property and surrounding areas. The house was nice and lived in which we loved, great big kitchen for cooking up/storing food, and we grilled some meat on the open fire outside. Heaps of space/rooms and two lounge areas for all our guests to stay. The girl who stays on the property (a little closer to the main house than we realised) was really friendly and accommodating. Overall, really great experience and would recommend.
Great little property, felt liek we went into a community not just a housewhich we loved
We had an absolutely great time. It was just the right size house. The kauri Point bay provided for many a lazy afternoon lounging while the kids played in the water. A clear bonus was the local kids inviting ours to play which meant a lot of new friends. Thanks for a great experience.

About the host
Hosted by Hannah Winsley
I grew up in Hokitika and moved to Auckland to study physiotherapy and work at 18. After a divorce, I moved here to raise my children. I love living in this beautiful village by the sea. We like to get away and explore other parts of NZ while opening our home for others to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
I love the fertile soil of Kauri Point Village and growing most of our own fruits and vegetables. I love access to the ocean, fishing, swimming and surfing.
What makes this property unique
My father, brothers and I built this house together. From a bare section I have enjoyed planting it out with fruit trees and landscaping and raising my children here. There is so much love and memories on this property and I love to open my place to others to enjoy and make their own special memories.
