Along with the rustling of the breeze through the trees, the singing of warblers and thrushes during the day, and the chirping of crickets at night, it serves as ideal background music. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast at the main deck’s patio table, cooking dinner on the charcoal grill, or perhaps best of all, lazing in the lower deck’s hot tub, you can savor the soothing soundtrack.

You can revel in the views from inside the lodge as well, courtesy of the great room’s double-height wall of windows. The sunlight streaming in shows off the hand-rubbed light pine floors, walls and vaulted ceiling to perfection.

Add to that the vaulted ceiling, the en-suite bathroom, and the magnificent view, and you have a haven you might never want to leave.

The other two bedrooms on the main floor are just as comfortable. Each has a queen-size bed, a TV, a ceiling fan and plenty of storage. If you need additional sleeping quarters, the sofa in the game room opens into beds for two, enabling Amazing River Retreat to accommodate eight people in all.
