This property was perfect for a family getaway with young cousins and grandparents. The house is extremely well equipped with all of the necessities as well as many more fun items such as kayaks, swimming pad, board games and children’s toys. The 5/6 bedrooms are all comfortable, clean and well equipped as are the bathrooms. The kitchen is big with 2 fridges to keep everything cool. Awesome outdoor space with many areas to sit and a nice dock with shallow sandy water for swimming. To top it all off Wendy was a fantastic above and beyond host who went to such effort to answer every little question we had and to ensure everything was perfect. We are very grateful for the experience and would love to return one day, highly recommend!
Our group of 9 genuinely enjoyed our 5 day stay at this beautiful property. It was truly a home away from home where you can find everything you need for comfy living inside and the outside offers child friendly clear lake water with sandy bottom. On the good weather days we enjoyed swimming, paddleboarding, fishing or just sunbathing on the deck, and of course a breathtaking sunset. When the weather was not cooperating, we visited the Algonquin Logging Museum and simply enjoyed the raw beauty of Mother Nature. Thanks to easy communication with the host our stay went very smoothly with lots of wonderful memories to cherish.

Needs new decking and the road into the property is not marked and is very rough. The potable water situation should be made clear in hosts book and on line. Also because the owner has two motorized crafts at the dock it was a little crowded when we had our own boat. The house itself was well equipped in the kitchen. Some of the beds were not too comfortable.

About the host
Hosted by Wendy Singh
Hi, I'm Wendy and I'm from Mississauga. I have hosted a smaller cottage in Haliburton before and this is a newer home for us, which we use ourselves. I enjoy hosting as I think it's important to help others make memories.
Why they chose this property
Barry's Bay is a very cute town with a lot of character. The lake is beautiful and very big. Our lake home is situated on a private road with 4 other homes. Our lake home and ideal for 2 families to make memories. We often come up with another family and it's big enough for all of us to have our space, yet cozy enough to enjoy time together.
What makes this property unique
Our lake home is more than a traditional cottage. It's an actual 4 season home, equipped with everything you would need in a home.
