Great place. The grounds keeper (Don) was also extremely friendly and helpful.Everything was very new, including the hot tube and space. Lots of room and cozy. Make sure to check out the games room and movie theatre.
We had our annual 'girls weekend' this past weekend and the cottage was amazing! Clean, spacious and so much to do - the hosts have thought of everything! We are already looking ahead at dates for next year. Thanks for sharing your piece of paraside with us :)
This cottage is located in a beautiful neighbourhood. It was a peaceful quiet spot with a comfortable living space and great views from the deck and dock. The garage was a great spot to enjoy the hockey game and play pool and foosball. Slept 7 adults comfortably. Beds/sheets were all very clean and the hosts were helpful and easy to communicate with.
I would like to thank Ron for being such a wonderful host. The house was equipped with everything we could have thought of. The cleanliness of the house was noticed and the house itself felt warm and welcoming. We enjoyed ourselves so much and loved our stay at the house. I appreciate the hospitality and we enjoyed all the house amenities. It was my first time in Canada and I would most definitely come back!🇨🇦
Hello,
Thanks Ron for allowing us to stay in your cottage. We friends had a great time. We stayed 3 nights. The rooms were cleaned, bed sheets were very clean. Kitchen had everything which we friends were looking. Family room as well as the game room with big TV was very nice also.
Location was great, we were able to rent JetSki and Pantoon boat which was only 20 minutes from the cottage.
Lastly Ron was amazing. He guided us about the property as well as the location.
Overall a great stay! We did show up to an unwanted mouse in the house, but we got it out ourselves and wasn’t a big deal at all, I mean this is cottage country!! The property manager was there promptly to set up traps outside. Everything was set up well, fire pit with lighter and water bucket, kayaks and paddles - I do with the fishing rods were fitted with leaders for quick use - they were all lined though.
Would I go back?? Absolutely!! Thanks for a great stay!!

Thanks Mark
You guys were a delight to host. Please do come back
My family and I loved our time at Ron's cottage! There was so much for all of us to do; we had a great time kayaking, playing badminton and having s'mores by the fire at night. We also really enjoyed fishing in the canoe as well as playing pool and air hockey in the games room! Inside the house is very nice and had the cottage vibe we were looking for and the newly renovated dock was perfect for the surprise I had planned, which was a proposal to my now fiancé! It was perfect for setting up fairy lights, roses and tea lights for an unforgettable moment and weekend.
Ron was very quick to respond to my messages, especially to see pictures of the dock to plan out my proposal. Unfortunately the dishwasher was not working but Ron sent over his groundskeeper right away to get a new one and even sent us ice cream for the inconvenience, while he was out of the country!
All in all, Ron was a wonderful host with a beautiful cottage and I would recommend it to anyone!

No paradise……very disappointing & owner dismissed our concerns
Having rented properties previously, our group’s expectations were set based upon the rate being charged and our past experiences.
We are a group of eight professionals, we selected this location due to its size, the description, the reviews, and in particular the games room feature, which played a major role in our selection.
The kids wobbly pool table offered one broken ball (red solid was broken in half)and only one cue (the second cue broken). The foos ball table could not be played, because the ball was not the right one for the unit. The projector would be a nice feature, but no instructions how to use it! The bar top is not secure, just a slab of wood laying on top. While the space may be suitable for younger kids, it is not a space for adults in its present state. Saying that, this gamesroom acts as a storage area for paints and other solvents.
The kitchen amenities were definitely lacking and we felt disappointed given the cost of our stay:
High end properties should have high-end appliances. However it offered an ancient coffee maker that made 4 cups, insufficient utensils, old cookware, including only one thin damaged unusable fry pans. An oven that wasn’t working properly. A dishwasher with a cutlery basket that was broken.
Only one tea towel and no dish cloth for 8 people for 4 days.
We also feel given the price we would find a clean finished space, not a property in the midst of repairs and headboards so dusty a previous guest wrote “dust me“ on it.
From a health and safety aspect, we noted a lack of co2 and smoke detectors, inside each sleeping area.
While the property has a great deal of potential, the owner should consult an interior designer or home-staging professional to help the physical space live up to its potential as a “paradise” retreat.
We suggest a printed information package with details about local attractions (seasonal) and additional information about the property itself, including a binder with user guides to technology available.
Please keep in mind that renting this space in the off-season meant that our emphasis was on the interior space, rather than the outdoor space, which is probably pretty spectacular during the height of vacation season.
We sent an email to the owner after our stay. Instead of addressing our concerns, he just dismissed them. He did ask for a pictures which we provided, but he never responded back.
Look around folks, not worth the price in off-season!

Hello
Thank you for staying with us. We did not see your review till pointed out by a potential guest. Firstly- most of your allegations are baseless and you did omit to state the reason why you were prompted to write such a negative one given that all previous guests before you had glowing remarks and not one of them pointed out to any of the deficiencies you mentioned. It would have been nice if you had reflected on your own actions as we would not like to do so in public. We are rated as “wonderful” by the platform, have a 4.8 rating and rated as Superhosts on other platform. If all that you said was true- that would not be the case.
I encourage all future hosts to be wary of you and your behaviour.
Regards
I had a 3 day sales meeting / team building session at the house.
There was 7 people in total and the house was perfect.
The main room with its large table was perfect for our meeting session.
We also spent quality time around the firepit and on the dock.
The house was very clean and communication with Ron was excellent.

Thank you, Antoinette. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. Hope to see you again Regards Chalet Paradise
We had a great time at this beautiful property. The lake is pretty weedy and made it difficult to boat around at times, but there is a cleared area for swimming right by the dock that was really nice.
There is a wonderful fire pit, activities provided (basketball, badminton, bikes, canoes, etc.), and it is a quiet and lovely area.
Check-in was very easy and the property manager was very responsive to communication.

This unique cottage by the lake accommodated our extended family of 9 perfectly. We were impressed with the amenities provided and they came in handy on the day we were rained out. The property manager was very responsive and even met us at the property to drop off additional supplies and answer any questions we had. Highly recommended!

Welcome to Chalet Paradise. Our home away from home in the quaint town of Bobcaygeon. After having lived in India and Dubai - we finally put our roots down in Canada. Between my wife and me we manage our IT software development business and live in the Greater Toronto Area till we retire and move to Bobcaygeon.
All three of us are avid boaters and love our cruiser, kayaks and time on the water. I love to fish and on most free days that's what I like to do.
Why they chose this property
