Our cottage has enough space for everyone. It is a place you can come and relax and enjoy cooking in the beautiful spacious kitchen or relaxing in the living room overlooking the lake. With five bedrooms and three bathrooms, it is the perfect place to enjoy time with your family and friends. Or come by yourself for your own getaway! Enjoy a relaxing soak in the tub in the main bedroom overlooking the lake. It is an amazing space that everyone will feel comfortable in.

Great family getaway

We loved this beautiful cottage! It had everything we needed, the kids had a blast and there was lots of room for them to play, and the beds were extremely comfy with luxurious linens. Highly recommended!

This is a very pretty cabin. It does need a deep clean though. The communication with the owner was excellent. She replied immediately when we had an issue with the temperature in the cabin. Just a note:the water has a strong dugout smell to it. I found it to be overpriced but otherwise it was a lovely stay.

April Retreat

We found the house perfect for what we needed. We are a group of crafter/sewists and there was plenty of room for numerous tables. We like to cook our own meals and the kitchen was very well equipped and was roomy enough for a few people to work in.

We had such an amazing time at the house! We spent lots of time at the park and boat launch with the kids. The house is very well stocked with eco and non-toxic supplies of all sorts. Everything you need is there and it is a wonderful place for a vacation. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Stay

The property was very clean and inviting. The spaces were bright and open. The kitchen was equipped for all our needs and the BBQ worked great. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was nice. We really enjoyed the wood stove to cozy up around during our winter stay. Thank you we had a great family gathering.

Great Views

I booked this property to be close to Camrose dor a hockey tournament. Not only was it close to town, the house was exactly as advertised. Messages with Kellsie were always answered promptly and clearly. Would highly recommend staying at Kellsie and Joel's!

Family blessing

The cottage was big and wonderful space for family to gather together. Space for those that need intervert time. Space for games in one area, and conversation in another. Plenty of sleeping areas. Big kitchen area for many cooks to share their talents. Host was wonderful at responding quickly to any requests.

Tillicum Beach

Family vacation - we try to do a few days each year with our kids and grandkids. Great house for the 12 of us. The kids had a lot of fun in the playroom and running around as the house is big and open. It was nice to have the kids' kayaks, adult kayaks and canoe. We also had a lot of fires and the kitchen is nicely stocked. We had a fun 5 day stay.

Tilicum cabin

It was a perfect place for our family get together such a unique place. Kelsie thought of everything..we didn’t have to bring anything but our food and clothes! Plenty of towels, small appliances, dishes (even for our little folk) lawn chairs, games room everything you could think of they had it! Amazing place and would totally come back here again! Thank you so much!

We would love to host them again! *the star ratings should have been five stars for every category. But due to the app not fully working, cleanliness was only four for some reason. That was not an accurate rating. It should have been five stars! I have talked to VRBO and there is nothing they can do to fix this. I am so sorry for that Susi! Perfect family friendly escape

This cabin had everything we needed to have a wonderful family reunion. The host, Kellsie, went above and beyond to accommodate our group. The kids had a blast playing in the play room, reading in the “book nook,” playing pool and shuffleboard along with all kinds of games. It is so spacious-even with all the kids, it never felt like we were crowded. It’s beautiful but it is also very comfortable. The beds were great and the windows looking out at the lake made for stunning views. We would love to stay here again!

House Reno getaway

Some work was being done in our house so we decided to move out for a week. Found this house and it was perfect! Only 10 min from our house. It had a lovely view of the water, sunsets. In our week of staying here we had everything we needed! The only thing I would complain about is the rotten egg smell of the water. It could use a little bit of cleaning,mostly dusting. All in all it was great!!

Family Christmas

Our family travelled from around Alberta to meet at this lovely cottage for Christmas. Everything about the property was perfect. The kitchen has everything needed for hosting a group. The many gathering spaces allowed for time together or time in smaller groups. The decorating is impeccable and appeals to many different tastes, yet it has a restful theme throughout the home. The space is joyful and peaceful, inviting great conversation, family games, and wonderful meals, or relaxing and enjoying the lovely lake and prairie views.

Big Valley Jamboree

Nice little property with great potential. Could use some TLC , MAINTENANCE , and upkeep. The ice maker in the fridge didn’t work and the sliding door didn’t work properly. The ad is misleading because the furnishings in the ad isn’t what was in the property. There was 2X4’s propping up the back of the couch. Really needs a water filtration system as the water stunk.

House by lake! Tillicum Beach

Liked the house! Yard maintenance not so great and to get to lake only a goat trail! To go up and down very unsafe! Had to go the long way around! House and outside to fire pit not safe for elderly and children! Steps going down not safe I almost fell down cause of the concrete blocks and no rails to hang on to! House not clean! Otherwise we made the best of our stay and was enjoyable!

Scottish Connection

We had the best time making memories with family and friends visiting from Scotland. The property had so many thoughtful touches: from the plethora of hooks for coats at the front door, to books, blankets, ample towels, a well-stocked kitchen, the pool table and shuffleboard, the fire pit, kayaks...and just the ample space for everyone to find a spot to relax. It was simply delightful. The hosts were incredibly responsive, made the booking and checkin process super easy, and made us feel so welcome. The property is a work-in-progress, so a few projects underway... but they in no way detracted from our stay -- and rather added to the charm and character of the home. And the home was spic and span clean. Huge thanks to the hosts for having us. Wonderful memories were made.

Perfection!

Our stay here was, in one word, perfection! Prairie Gold Cottage is gorgeous, spacious yet cozy, with a panoramic view of the lake, impeccably decorated and flawlessly appointed with everything needed to make any vacation an absolute delight. Spending the last few days of 2022 at PGC has been our first stay here but will most certainly not be the last; we loved PGC in winter and can’t wait to experience it during summertime. Communicating with Kellsie has also been an absolute pleasure from the moment we reserved our vacation: always prompt in answering any request, friendly, kind, helpful, welcoming - the ideal hostess. This was truly a most memorable holiday, we made plenty of delightful memories (and took many photographs :) and are already looking forward to coming back – we hope, soon! THANK YOU!

Nice place with more potential

The place was quite nice however there is more than can be done to really make it shine! There were a lot of cobwebs on the outside of the cabin, on the lakeside deck and down at the firepit thought I didn't see any spiders thankfull. It could definitely use a fresh coat of paint as well. But overall, it was nice for what needed it for. The main floor toilet stopped working midway through the trip but the host did try to help me solve the problem. There are two other toilets that we could use. If the house had the amount of people staying that it can fit, then it would have been bothersome. Once the poop truck emptied the septic, the toilet started working again. The water really smells as well but I'm not sure what could be done to stop that as its a well.We didn't let any of those ruin our vacation, but again, this place could be incredible if some TLC was given to it. Hosts were friendly and quick to respond. Wonderful area. Thank you.

A great place to gather

This place was wonderful for our family to be together. The home is beautiful and the antique decorations are so charming. We enjoyed the canoe and kayaks and ladder toss and fire pit. The hosts really pay attention to detail. We were so lucky to find this hidden gem.
