Hello and a warm welcome, our names are Anne and Vanessa and we have lovingly restored this 4 bedroom 1930's cottage and surrounding garden situated within our 5 acres property.
Just 5 minutes by road to Berry and Gerringong, this is an ideal location to explore the village atmosphere of Berry for some great food or retail therapy or enjoy all the wonders of what the glorious South Coast beaches have to offer.
'Beirnfels on Broughton' provides a unique country getaway situated within cottage gardens on a hilltop above Broughton Creek, set amongst neighbouring working farms and located on a country lane in Broughton Village.
The cottage has a modern, fully equipped kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms , large dining area, cosy lounge area with wood fire, 2 large verandahs and extensive gardens.

The perfect place for wedding guests, family reunions or getaway with friends.

A separate self contained studio is also available on the property - with 1 queen bed.

Beautiful country cottage and garden

We had a wonderful stay at Beirnfels on Broughton. All our needs were anticipated and every comfort provided. It was lovely for our dogs to be able to run around in the beautiful gardens. Highly recommended.

The property was everything we had hoped for. Starting off with a welcome basket of goodies, the rest of our stay was very comfortable and relaxing. A home away from home! It was just such a shame we couldn't stay longer but will definitely be back.

Family Getaway

Our family including our 2 dogs had a very relaxing and comfortable long weekend away. Plenty to do in surrounding areas and enjoyed quality family time at the house and surrounding grounds. Vanessa was a great host! We’ll definitely be back.

Perfect Getaway

Had a wonderful girls weekend at this beautiful property. The house has everything and more and is very comfortable and the garden and surroundings are just gorgeous. Thank you Vanessa for the very generous welcome pack. Highly recommend this property.

Family celebration

Family travelled from Canberra and Sydney for the weekend to celebrate a birthday and retirement. Saturday was cool and wet but we played games and cooked and the wood heater kept us cosy. Sunday was sunny enough for a trip to the Berry markets and a drive around the area.

Lovely country cottage

We had a wonderful week staying in the house which has been beautifully restored by the owners. Vanessa and Anne went out of their way to make sure my elderly parents were catered for. The house had plenty of room for our family group and a beautiful garden. Despite being in the country surrounded by the rolling green hills, the house is close to the new Berry bypass and it was very easy and quick to get into Berry village. Thank you very much Vanessa and Anne

Girls weekend

Despite some pretty hideous weather, our weekend was just fabulous! Once we got the heating sorted out, there was food & wine flowing in front of the beautiful fire. Absolutely loved it, what a house! Communication was spot-on & nothing “outside the box” was even a question. Thoroughly recommend Vanessa & her gorgeous place. 👍🏼👍🏼

A Magic Easter Stay

From the moment we arrived at this charmingly restored heritage property in Broughton Village there was unexpected enchantment and joy at every turn: Easter eggs in every room lovingly arranged by the host, fresh flowers picked from the garden in little glass vases just for us, a card package of wine cheese, biscuits etc, and then would you believe our own personal carriage ride on Easter morning! My four year old grandson couldn’t believe his luck, and loved feeding the horses carrots in the paddock all weekend long. Perfect house for a large extended family holiday with studio included, or just a smaller group in the main house. Vanessa and Anne were so friendly and welcoming, we can not wait to stay here again!

WOW!!!

The cottage was immaculately clean and very well stocked with anything and everything you could need. The fireplace was amazing and very well stocked with wood. Vanessa was lovely to work with, so friendly and welcoming. . The surrounding area is beautiful and the view from most rooms was stunning. The highway is quite close but it didn't impact our enjoyment in anyway at all. Only downside was we were unable to met the two resident clydesdales but this just means we will have to stay again in the future. I cannot say enough positive things about this property, rarely do you find a property that ticks every box with out sacrificing some other aspect. Will absolutely stay again . Thank you again Vanessa.

We had idyllic two night stay at Beirnfels on Broughton for girls getaway. Vanessa was very responsive and amenable prior to and during our stay. Would recommend to all looking for a spacious, well equipped property close to Berry

Excellent Property

We loved this beautiful house. It had everything we needed for our weekend as the kitchen was very well equipped and all the appliances worked as they were supposed to! The house was spotless, the beds comfortable and the little 'welcome pack' was a lovely touch. The hosts, Anne & Vanessa, dropped in to see us and have a chat. They have put a lot of care and thought into the comfort factor. We would not hesitate to return.

Lovely home!

This cottage is lovely. A lot of time care taken in renovating. Hosts are friendly and approachable, we even got an invite for a ride on their horse and wagon. Great location.

Serene Magnificent Views with Cosy Comfy stay

If you are looking for old world charm in a country atmosphere with modern facilities then this is the place for you. From the time we walked in we were completely enthralled by this quaint cottage and it's surroundings. It felt like walking back in time inside the house as the owners have tried to retain most of the original features of the house. The rooms were very cosy with beautiful outlooks from the windows, comfy beds and lovely linen. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything and anything you could want. We even baked a cake during our stay. The house would be very comfortable for 8 guests, as it has 4 rooms. The views from the front and the back are both absolutely lovely, although the new motorway is running at the back of the property (but the noise was not a bother for us as it is set back). The open front veranda is ideal for a game of cards/board games/drinks or for gathering with friends. Property would be lovely for kids too, as they have horses and cattle grazing on the neighbouring paddocks, and a beautiful creek and plenty of yard space to run around outside. The cottage was very clean. Thank you very much Vanessa for your lovely and kind hospitality, the complimentary treats including wine and the fun horse carriage ride with Rosie and Clover. We would love to come again.

Fantastic Country Escape

We are two sisters in our mid 50's who have a love for animals, gardening, cooking and shopping!
We have owned our main residence for close to 30 years and 8 years ago purchased the adjoining property, merging the two blocks to reflect what the original property once was.
Our 5 acres are shared with our 2 Clydesdale horses Rosie and Clover and our 2 Old English Sheepdogs Yogi and Sophie.
On a weekend it is not uncommon to see us in our horse carriage on the local roads or pottering around our garden.
We love our country cooking and have won prizes for our sponge cakes and scones.

Our property is set in rural location yet close enough to the bustling village of Berry or the sun and surf of Gerringong.
We are also close enough for day trips to the beautiful Jervis Bay, Jamberoo Recreation Park or the Southern Highlands.
