This was an amazing cabin it had everything you wanted the view the game room and most important the cleanness im telling you if you want somewhere for your family to stay and not be worried this is the cabin for you family the host was very concerned about me and my family and we will stay here again and again i loved it and my family loved it thanks again for letting us share does moment at your cabin God bless
The property overall was great it has an amazing view which just made the stay 10x better especially being able to watch the sun rise and the snowy mountains in the back. The property owners also were great at responding and helping us with everything we needed
We have done a lot of traveling the last few years and stayed in a lot of different places. Just by far is in the top of our list. Probably in the top three. It did not have neighbors on top of you people right beside you. The view was amazing. It is a little bit of a climb to get up the mountain to it but we were in a bus and a van and they both got up there very easily. If we are ever back in the Smoky mountain area, this is definitely a place we will be looking to stay in. The host stayed in excellent communication with us. Checked on us to see if we had made it in and ask no matter what time it was to let him know so he knew we made it safely. I would highly recommend this place. We had several people in our group, several adult kids of ours and everybody had a place to stay. I believe we even had a few beds left. It wasn't too bad of a drive to get to town but we were secluded enough. We could pretty much do what we wanted and not have to worry about neighbors. My kids love being outside and sometimes they can get pretty loud at night. Joking with each other and just having fun. I would highly recommend this place if you're headed to the Smoky mountains.
I wasn’t going to review this cabin…but the management kept emailing me…over and over. They would title the emails ‘security deposit’ …(which we did get back)…but the body of the email wasn’t about the security deposit…it was always a push to get us to give them a five star review. When I didn’t review, they called me and started trying to interview me about my stay… I was honest…”it was just…eh” and figured out quickly that they were trying to get me to say good things about the place…I couldn’t do that. Plus, I think they were recording me.
So…It was ok…. They call it a 6 bedroom… which is sort of right. One “bedroom” is actually the basement….concrete floors…no tv…couple old couches. (There are old couches sort of everywhere…little odd)
Another “bedroom” is actually a sunroom…it has a window air conditioner…but again…no closet…and no tv.
ANOTHER bedroom is sort of in the upstairs loft main bedroom. Which would be fine for a small child that you’re ok with seeing you…well…you know…changing clothes…etc. It has a sliding barn door but if you close it…the temperature goes through the roof as it has no vent of its own. So it must stay open to cool…and our youngest was sixteen so we couldn’t use it. This loft bedroom takes up the entire second floor…and again…no tv ( though there are wires where they once had one)
Two bedrooms are actually bedrooms…and have tvs. The living room tv is there…but placed in such a way that you literally have to stand up to use the remote…volume…etc…this was a huge pain in the rear…so we barely used it.
The house is up a long gravel drive that’s very steep and has run off holes and ruts…two of our cars were 4wd and it was bouncy but ok. Our daughter has a VW Jetta…once she finally made it up the hill (sliding and bottoming out) she refused to drive it back down until we were actually leaving five days later…I didn’t blame her.
The cabin is ok… good views. However there is all this terribly used space…and for a family sized place…there’s literally nothing to do… no pool table…fooze ball…no games of any kind. There’s no hot tub…tons of decks…almost no deck furniture. No dishwasher in the kitchen though you are required to have all dishes washed and dried…placed back in the cabinets or incur a charge.
We rented this place on short notice…it works for a place to sleep. It was 25-30 minutes from anything you want to do…so be prepared for a lot of winding mountain driving to and fro.
We won’t stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at this property. We management company was very responsive to any question I had. The property has been well maintained and is very spacious. The beds are comfortable and there's plenty of space to spread out. There were adequate towels, bedding & pillows to accomodate a large group.
Cons: It was very hot during our stay (June 14, 2022) and the air did not keep us cool at night. There were multiple fans in the house which helped. However, the 2nd floor was unbearable for me (asthma) so I had to move to a downstairs bedroom. Trash had to be left inside the home during our stay which was not favorable but because we were gone most of the time, it wasn't a big deal. If in the area with a group again, I would definitely book this property again.
Property was awesome. We came to the area to Zip Line. We had a great time.
First time VRBO and it was a great experience. We received the address 2 days prior to our arrival and all the information we needed. The house was clean and comfortable with amazing views.
Yearly we come together as a family and do a trip. This home offered everything we needed to have family time aswell as rest and relaxation. Do not pass on the opportunity to stay in this home.
So after reading some of the reviews here is my honest opinion...the property is absolutely gorgeous. Our check in was delayed due to people before us leaving the cabin a mess, so we had to wait until 5pm. I believe we possibly rushed the cleaning team, at least I hope that is what it was. One bedroom was not finished, cleaned or bed made, the stove top is a mess and someone really needs to clean that. I was going to because of my ocd but kept forgetting to pick up the cleaner. Some of the reviews said the home had a cockroach problem.....for those of us who are accustomed to the outdoors they were not cockroaches but Beatles....part of being in the mountains. As for centipedes oh they are definitely in the house but again part of being in the middle of the woods. Possibly needs an exterminator to come out more frequently but they didn't bother us. The home is gorgeous, we cleaned it a bit better after the cleaning team left...but I have ocd about cleaning. Lol. The drive into Gatlinburg and trails was ok... not to bad. About 30 mins one way. You give up closeness to the town for the beautiful views I had no issues with driving everyday. The loft upstairs does get a bit warm but if you leave the famns running it is actually comfortable....and I prefer it cold when I sleep. The owner was very nice and responded quickly to any of our texts. We had no true issues and we were very happy with our stay. You get to see amazing views of the sunrise and sunset. I do agree with some of the reviews that a hot tub would be awesome on one of the decks, especially after a few of the trails we did. For the reviews left about needing more TVs....when we go on vacation we prefer to stay away from the tv and electronics. So for us even with small children I would say there were enough tvs in the home. We would have preferred if there was a door for the tub/shower area for the master bath. With the kids running around a bit difficult for privacy when taking a shower. We would definitely stay here again even with a few of the hiccups.
The only thing I would add is more TVs and maybe a hot tub on the porch
Y’all had an awesome cabin awesome view great directions you just need more TVs and not gonna lie and a nice hot tub on the balcony
