James thank you so much for your shining review! We love that your family had a wonderful weekend together and that you chose our home! If you ever find yourself back in the Big Valley area, please join us again.
Very comfortable beds and good space for a family to be in. There were lots of steps (3 levels), some quite steep so mobility is important. The view from the front of the house is beautiful and the big room at the back almost makes you feel like you're outside.
Wonderful home for a group - well stocked, clean, quiet and lovely surroundings. We used if for an extended family stay for PSU graduation - only 30'ish minutes to State College with plenty of room to accommodate our group. Really enjoyed the sunrises!
Plenty of space and privacy for our group of 7, including in-laws and teenage cousins. We stayed for White Out weekend, so really only slept, showered and headed out early for long days. About a 45 minute drive from campus thru gorgeous hills and scenery. Very quiet space in Amish country. The downstairs floor smelled musty upon arrival since there had been a recent power outage, but the caretaker was very communicative and helpful.
Five friends and I booked this listing as a meeting point from our homes. The price was right, the area picturesque, enough bathrooms, beds and space for all of us to gather or have alone time. We shared many laughs in the sunroom over games and coffee. We went hiking, to Shy Bear and Brookmere winery. Highly recommend all venues and this listing!

House was as advertised and location was great for family get-together: lots of indoor space for meals, talking, games and puzzles, with rural roads for hiking up hills right outside the door or within a short drive. We had a good time and appreciated all that the property had to offer.
This was a visit back to my hometown for a family funeral. The location was perfect with Amish buggies passing by frequently. The road in front of the house was great for walking with a one year-old and a 90-year-old. Very quiet. The fold out couch Was not acceptable for sleeping, but I have been assured by management and the cleaning service that it has been replaced. There were some other small issues that were immediately tended to with a minimum of fuss. I highly recommend this location and would stay again.
We found this gem of a place a few weeks before the whiteout game. It was affordable and everything in the house was as described. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could've spent more time here at the house as it was very relaxing and homey.
I was born in Lewistown and lived in both Allensville and Belleville...come back every year for our family reunion. Decided to find a spot where my daughter and grandchildren could stay with us too. It worked out great, lots of space and rooms for everyone.
My husband and his siblings wanted to explore Bellevue. Their grandmother and father were born in the area and my husband and his siblings wanted to find their birthplace. This vacation home is centrally located to everything. The home was perfect for what we needed. There was plenty of room and the kitchen met our needs. Check in and check out was very simple and easy. We had some absolutely amazing food in the area and will definitely be back.
The house was very nice and clean. We didnt stay at the house long during the days. we spent our time exploring the area within a50 mile or so. The pace of life here is what we all wish for. Great place.
(PS) the tub upstairs drains very slow
The property was clean and well decorated. It was very comfortable and there was plenty of room. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large. Plenty of pillows and towels.
One minor quibble was that the internet speed was inconsistent. I would definitely recommend.
The sunroom was the perfect place to visit with old friends. The house was as expected with no surprises. Everyone commented on the comfort of the beds. The host contacted me ahead of the stay and was quick to answer all my questions.
