Beautiful architecturally designed, split-level beach house overlooking Skenes Creek beach on the spectacular Great Ocean Road.

With ocean views from the house you can watch the waves break on the beach from inside or from the large deck wrapping around the living area. Watch Mother Nature at her finest from sunrise to sunset. Feed visiting king parrots and rosellas, watch surfers take to the waves and ships pass on the horizon.

Skenes Creek beach is a popular swimming, surfing and fishing beach only 5kms from Apollo Bay and a short drive to town and the local shops, supermarket and restaurants.

This much loved family beach house accommodates up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms and with 2 bathrooms including master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in robe.

1 x Twin Single bedded room

Main bathroom has shower over bath and separate toilet. Ensuite has walk-in shower.

A large open-plan lounge and dining area adjoins the well-appointed kitchen, all with ocean views. Outdoor dining table and a barbecue give you the option to dine alfresco on sunny days and warm evenings or in Winter you can light the Aga stove and enjoy a cosy night in with the smell of wood smoke in the air.

The kitchen has all of the necessary amenities including microwave, pod coffee machine, blender, wall over, gas hotplates, dishwasher and is well equipped for cooking, baking and entertaining.

A laundry with large washing machine adjoins the kitchen.

Well stocked with digital TV, Netflix, DVDs, books, magazines and board games the house is the perfect setting for unwinding with family and friends. High speed WIFI also makes working from home a breeze, stay longer than a weekend and bring your laptop with you to have the ultimate office with a view!

Pet-friendly accepting small to medium house-trained dogs (no puppies sorry). The garden is not fully secured but the deck is gated, secured and weather protected.

*A full linen service is included on all bookings (other than beach towels, guests must supply their own)

Stayed for the 2nd time at this property, it's an absolute hidden gem. The view, the beach, the location to the beach, tranquil and quite even at the busiest time of year, and of course located close enough to Apolo bay for all our needs... Will definitely come again if Karen will have us.

Lovely cosy house!

Our weekend getaway was a delight. Property just as described...the photos don't do it justice! Comfortable couches and beds, good heating, plenty of boardgames, books and DVDs. Excellent kitchen for cooking and beautiful vista of the sea! Karen's local info and communication was excellent. Would definitely stay again!

Absolutely wonderful

This is one of the best places we have stayed at on the Great Ocean Rd and we go every year. Fab location in Skene’s Creek, ocean views are breathtaking. Birds visiting the balcony are gorgeous. Rooms are spacious and the living space is large and very comfy. We loved it. Very clean and well appointed. Karen was an amazing communicator and made us feel informed and very welcome! We would definitely recommend and hope to return. Thank you!

Perfect getaway

Communication with host was excellent. The house has everything you could possibly need, plus many comforts and personal touches with decoration. Great books and magazines. A splendid deck to view Skene’s Creek and enjoy the magnificent bird life. Highly recommended.

Skene's Creek delight to share with your 4 legged friend

This property is a truly excellent place to stay, even without your 4 legged friend, but it adds a very special extra when your beach loving doggy can enjoy it with you. This house is absolutely great. Set up with everything you could possibly need on holiday. Karen has thought of everything. The house has a wonderful welcoming feel, kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the beds are comfy. Karen was a great host to deal with.

Beautiful sea side getaway

This property has top notch location, minutes from the beach with stunning view. It is VERY well equipped for entertaining & cooking, however the stove has only one setting (high) which makes it slightly challenging to cook certain dishes requiring low heat. Nonetheless, there is great bbq outside so that wasn't much of an issue. Rooms are great and spacious, both bathrooms are great but the pressure in the shower is EXTREMELY low making it very hard to wash of salty water from long hair. Besides these two details, the house is amazing and recommended for family, friends, couples etc. anyone who wants to enjoy nice sea views and the 'beach house' feeling. It is dog friendly too, our little cavoodle loved it!

We weren't aware that there was a problem with the wall oven so thanks for bringing it to our attention so that we can have it checked. We have recently changed the showerheads in both bathrooms which I believe may have affected the water pressure coming through as we have only recently had feedback about it. I'll get the plumber back to have a look at it and appreciate your feedback so that we can follow it up for future guests. Wonderfully relaxing!

We were able to relax and unwind in this lovely space! Swims at the beach, cups of tea, watching the birds and relaxing with a book on the comfortable couches are some of the great opportunities this great house gives you.
