The house was great & in a perfect location. Disappointed with lack of contact with owner & house not being cleaned before we arrived. We had to wash linens & towels before we could use them

The house was cold but after using the fire, it warmed up quickly and retained the warmth. The property had not been cleaned well and some supplies for the fire were unavailable. Previous guests had used all matches and fire starters but after talking to the owner, this was sorted out very quickly and the owners very very attentive to other issues as they arose.
A deep clean was scheduled on our leaving the property, and the owner allowed us to check out late afternoon as a good will gesture.
We would happily stay again.
This was the worse non stay we have ever had. We arrived to a filthy house with dirty bedding, dirty water in the kitchen sink, used towels on the floor and draped in the laundry. The layers of dust and dirt so deep it looked like it hadnt been cleaned ever. ALL THE BEDS WERR SLEPT IN WHEN WE ARRIVED. We tried 6 times to call the property host with no answer. We had to book into the hotel for our stay and still have not been able to reach anyone for a refund or complaint. I will not recommend this property to anyone. It feels like a scam where they take your money and theres no communication after that. DON'T STAY HERE EVER!

Lovely house inside. Plenty of space. Communication with the owner was good. Rooms were comfortable but cold - perhaps a heater for each bedroom would be a good idea as it gets into the negative temperatures.
What a cool place to stay. If travelling to a remote mystical place isn't enough, step into this absolute comfort zone. Tucked away down a funny dirt road, this place is THE PLACE you want to arrive to. Space, fireplaces, ability to cut wood, go and entertain in the openness of the kitchen to those relaxing by the fireplace of a very generous lounge area. This is luxury after a day's travelling. Devine!

House had not been cleaned. Beds were unmade, doonas had stains on them.Kitchen was dirty, fridge dirty. Bathrooms unclean, toilets had been used and not flushed. Toilet seat broken in smaller bathroom. Blowflies on window sills. Half a toilet roll for 2 toilets, no kindle for fire. One electric oil heater for entire house without using wood heaters. We tried phoning the host, left voicemail. No reply. We texted the same number, no reply.

Good. Could do with a few essential supplies like dishwashing liquid and garbage bags. Unaware until we arrived that we needed to take our garbage with us.
