We have stayed at this property for the past 4 years when visiting Cashiers and always enjoy our stay. Great location, clean and perfect for our family of 4. Looking forward to our next visit!

Thank you for choosing our property again! No better compliment than repeat guests!
We enjoyed our stay at this property, especially the out door spaces. It was roomy and clean. Nice neighborhood. Shampoo, bath soap, etc are not included so be sure to bring your own. Would stay here again.
We liked this property overall. However we did not know the next door neighbor would be putting on a new roof the entire 3 days of our stay so we left a day early because we could not enjoy the site, sitting outdoors on the balcony not the hammering noise and loud music of the roofers. Suggest that instructions he left for use of the thermostat as well as the TV system.

From the owner:"I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed my mountain home overall! I’m truly sorry that the roof work next door disrupted your stay — I completely understand how frustrating that must have been. Each house is independent, and there is no construction schedule available to us, so unfortunately, I wasn’t aware of the work being done.I also appreciate your note about the thermostat and TV instructions — I’ll make sure those are updated and easier to find so things are simple and comfortable for future guests. I hope you’ll consider visiting again soon to fully enjoy the peace and quiet this area usually offers."
I’m so thankful we got to stay at this home! The community is so wonderful & we loved a chance to ski, snow tube & go to the recreation center… there are so many beautiful trails with waterfalls nearby… the house was so clean & the views are wonderful!
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely sapphire house. The house is very quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the decks and listening to the quiet. The bath tub in the master with whirlpool jets was relaxing. We will return!
Really enjoyed our stay in Sapphire and the cabin was mostly clean. Despite timing our trip with a lot of rainy weather, we enjoyed some local hikes and views of waterfalls. Overall the cabin met our expectations, the bedding, towels and overall appearance were actually really good, but only 4 stars on cleanliness due to some pretty obvious things that probably could have been managed better. I would definitely recommend the cabin and would not hesitate to book again.
The house was a decent size and accommodated our large family easily. The location was tranquil. Better cleaning of floors and counter tops is needed though.

Perfect for peaceful relaxation as well as base for work.
Our team of four researchers needed a base camp for working on our next book. This house was very effective for what we needed and desired. It was clean, quiet, spacious, modern, attractive, and allowed us to work and relax. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was as helpful and responsive. This was a good find for us.

Fantastic accomodation in the NC mountains!
Our stay at Sapphire Valley, NC was perfect! Accomodation was clean, and amenities as described we're 100% accurate. The owners and the property management company was also very responsive. The location is nestled between Lake Toxaway and Cashiers, which allowed us to explore the entire area from Brevard to Highlands from one central location. Day trips for hiking were easy to plan from the house and we could easily get back for lunch on a few of the days. We would highly recommend staying here! Thank you!

Owner's Response: "Thank you Peter for your kind review. It was a pleasure to share our home with you and your family! We hope to host you again in the near future!"
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the house, the views and the calm. We did see a pair of bears one night (from inside the house) and we were careful as instructed and locked our cars. GPS is a bit challenged to find the place - only one of the three we had would take us there. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us.
Nice place! We truly enjoyed our stay. The trip into and out of the neighborhood is very steep. We were prepared because we saw others’ comments but it was enough of an issue to ensure we only left and returned once each day! A few improvements could future renters happier:- Reduce the temp on the water heater. It is set too high and could be dangerous for small children- Garbage disposal flap has deteriorated. It spits out at you! We had to cover it with a bowl before using.- Towels - Need more than 2 extra towels and washcloths in MBR - Luggage racks would be nice- Add an iron and ironing board. I was counting on this and looked very rumpled at nice dinners in town
Gorgeous location with a spectacular view. The house was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Kitchen is reasonably well appointed. Lovely, open floorplan upstairs. Two decks, upstairs and down, both offer fantastic views. The road up is very steep and fairly narrow with a couple of tight curves, so be prepared. Not somewhere I'd relish staying in January. Master bedroom upstairs is quite nice. The two downstairs bedrooms are a little spartan but largely comfortable, though the queen mattress in the one sagged quite badly on one side.Regardless, we enjoyed our stay immensely and wish we could have lingered longer. Would definitely return.
A 3-day retreat, we enjoyed the serenity of this mountain home while our kids were at camp. The area is beautiful and we spent time in the car driving to Cashiers, Highlands and Brevard to explore these towns. If you are a golfer (we are not), this area is perfect because there are plenty around. As for the Sapphire National Golf Club, the activities area is a short drive down Hwy 64 and not immediately in the area of this house. Not a problem for us because we didn’t use them, but if you have kids and want to utilize those amenities, something to keep in mind.
Although we never directly communicated with Dale, we appreciated the owners' thoughtfully provided night lights (high country nights are DARK!), new shower curtain liner & lots of hangers. Drapes/blinds in bedrooms/bathrooms only. Upstairs jacuzzi tub, downstairs shower. Steep approach on paved road, short gravel driveway. Tricky keycode lock on side door; wait for green circle before trying to open/enter. Wait a few minutes to retry if unsuccessful. Sapphire Valley Resort has a clean gym, indoor & outdoor pools, hot tubs. Next time we'll try the boat rentals!
We enjoyed our stay but we did have a few concerns. There was a musty odor in the house. A dehumidifier is probably needed. There were no hangers and I had brought some ironed blouses. However, the beds and linens were superb. Great location but parking was a little scary. There were two spots with significant drop offs. Also, the pictures show a great Mountain View but that is only during the winter. I should have noticed in the pics. The dining table and couches were excellent. It was a great price for the size but would probably not rent again.
