The Terraces at Eagle Ridge Condo N21 by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a nicely updated condo with ski area views and a very convenient location. Amenities include a seasonal pool and hot tub, fitness center, underground parking garage, and an in-unit washer and dryer. The location is very close to everything you need, including the Gondola, Ski School, groceries, restaurants, shops, and more. Burgess Creek and the Burgess Creek Trail run right past the condo and lead to the Yampa River and Yampa River Core Trail. There's so much to like about this condo! Please read on for complete details.

The Property:
With 1,100 square feet, the size is above average for a 2-Bedroom. The condo has lots of windows facing different directions, so you get good natural light and can get a nice cross breeze going if you want fresh air. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are one large space tied together with beautiful hardwood floors. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, features granites counters, stainless steel appliances, and high end cabinetry. It also has a bar that is convenient for keeping your chef company as well as serving up some drinks, apps, or meals. The living room has comfy seating for 6 plus a warm gas fireplace, large HDTV, and views of the Steamboat Ski Resort. The dining room is an alcove off the living room, and also has great views of the surrounding mountains. Off the living room you will find a covered balcony with gas grill and outdoor dining table for 2. This is a great place for your morning coffee or an afternoon refreshment.

The master bedroom is quite large. It has plenty of space for a king sized bed, armchair, and dresser. There's also a large wall mounted HDTV to enjoy. The bed and linens are high quality to help ensure a good night's rest. The ensuite master bathroom is also very large. It has a curved vanity with granite counters, dual glass vessel sinks, and faucets that spring out of the mirrors. The glass enclosed shower has a bench and two shower heads, including one waterfall style shower head. The second bedroom is only a little smaller, but just as nice. The queen size bed has a nicely upholstered wingback headboard with nailhead trim. This second bathroom is also very nice with a glass enclosed shower and bathtub combo and a granite topped vanity with another glass vessel sink.

There are also some bonus spaces in the condo. When you enter, there's a place to sit down and remove your boots or shoes, plus a coat closet. Off the hallway near the kitchen is the laundry room. Having a private washer and dryer right there in the unit can be really convenient. Head down the elevator and you'll find some nice amenities, including the very large fitness center and the Burgess Creek-side pool and hot tub area. Relax in the sun with the sounds of flowing water.

Location:
This condo has a location that is ideal in ski season or any other. For a ski vacation, being close to the slopes is a big plus, being close to the ski school, ticket office, and key ski lifts is also important. It would also be really nice to have groceries, restaurants, ski & snowboard rental shops, and maybe a few bars close by. This condo's location gives you very close proximity to all of that, and more. The Wild Plum has groceries, a deli and cafe, as well as liquor, wine, and beer. It is only about 100 yards away. Right across the street from that is the Village Center. Its shops and restaurants offer coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, ski and snowboard rentals, and even a Bavarian style beer hall. The edge of the ski slopes, Gondola Square, ski school, and ticket office are only about 250-300 meters from the condo. It's a very easy and gentle walk, short and easy enough to make with ski boots on, carrying equipment, or walking with kids. Need to add or shed a layer of clothing during your ski day, or want to come home for lunch? You can do so when you stay here.

Guests in spring, summer and fall will love the location too. The ski area base comes alive with all the same restaurants and bars, plus there are many more activities to enjoy. Ski trails turn into grassy meadows, hiking and biking trails. Burgess Creek flows through the base area and right past the condo building. The flows through the base area are at a controlled volume, so the water level is always perfect for dipping your toes. Along the creek and next to the Gondola are lots of adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and even a couple of beach areas. Kids will have a blast! The mountain coaster is open in winter and summer, but in summer, you also have lots of other fun family activities, such as mini-golf, a ropes course, tubing, and more. There are art shows, events and festivals, movie nights, free concerts, it's a great place to be! At the condo building, Burgess Creek flows at higher volumes, creating the sound of a rushing river in spring. Also right outside is the Burgess Creek trail and the Mt. Werner trail, which is a paved path that leads down to Casey's Pond, the Yampa River and the Yampa River Core Trail. From here, you could walk, jog, stroll, or fish your way right into downtown Steamboat, which is only 3 miles away.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns.
** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on. If you are booking for a lengthy stay, please contact us before booking online to discuss your group, your dates, the rates, the cleaning schedule, etc.

Great amenities and location
We really enjoyed this condo. It was nicely updated and had a well-equipped kitchen. We also were thrilled that it had a washer/dryer--very important for a ski week! The location was right across from a walking path that led directly to the base area. It was only a 10 min walk to the gondola. The outdoor hot tub and pool were a nice size and were very clean. Indoor parking was a plus as well! And, there was a bus stop between the condo and the base area. We made good use of the free bus transportation to restaurants, groceries, and into town.

Nice Condo
The condo is nicely remodeled with great finishes. Unfortunately, the housekeeping staff's attention to basic details is lacking. We asked the management company to address the issues we had and while they were responsive, they weren't fixed. The dishes in the cabinets were disgusting and the whole condo smelled heavily of tobacco. The staff ionized the condo which helped a little, but they also said they would wash the dishes which did not happen. The coffee mugs, before and after we raised the issue, all had lots of instant coffee crystals covering the insides. The freezer leaks water all over the floor when it is opened and the start button on the dryer is broken off. The tissues in the bathroom had a nice little arrangement on top of an empty box. My son found a pill of some sort on the bathroom floor, which could be dangerous but just shows that vacuuming isn't happening. Overall, the location was good and the finishes were great; however, the housekeeping staff and management company are well below expectations.

Terraces N21
First and foremost, I want to list items that need attention so that things in your condo do not get ruined and incur you many costs. The dishwasher has a leak, lots of water on the floor, and the top rack is broken. The ice maker has not worked in a while and the flow of the water is lacking as well. Your main rug has burns of sorts and seems dirty. Both sinks in the master barely drain. TV remotes' backs fall off, and batteries never work... The washer button to start is gone, so maybe a note indicating you must feel inside the area and hold it for a few seconds to start. The lighting in the master is so very poor you couldn't get ready in there. Also, a big help with thermostats- a note indicating what controls what would go a long way. I know that owning a business and having people stay there is a lot of work as I do this. However, having instructions laminated would eliminate a lot here. I'm amazed you had zero info on the names of the shuttles and their routes... There was no kleenex, cooking pans were in poor shape, and the couch was so broken down that no one could sit comfortably. The T.V. has no instructions and cannot connect to the internet to watch Netflix etc... The lack of instructions regarding the shuttle services was awful. There were none. We had to ask around to other guests. The key retrieval was okay, but explaining the garage door would've been helpful. It is odd. Also, there are no towels for the hot tub area, and having to deal with keys again doesn't work brilliantly. Maybe install a code door keypad. I've stayed in many places here in Steamboat for the past 20 years. I will not choose this particular property again for the amount of money that was paid. Small things would have made for a much better stay, attention to detail is key for people. The cleaning crew spent very small time turning over the property, it showed. It has a lack of care, and it shows. I would appreciate a call from the manager.

Great unit, great location
The condo was so nicely decorated and appointed with all of the basics we needed for a comfortable week-long stay in Steamboat in July. We liked having easy access to the mountain and a very short drive to downtown and hikes in the area. It hadn't even crossed our minds since AC isn't the norm in Colorado, but since we were there during a heat wave and didn't have it we had to be very diligent about closing the blinds to keep the sun from making the condo too hot. We were glad there were box fans to help keep the air moving. We can't say enough good things about Steamboat Springs and the amount of great hikes, restaurants, and fun things to do there in the summer!

Renovations
The property was in a great location. Unfortunately there were lots of renovations going on that put a damper on relaxing at the property. The roof was being replaced, and there was some work being done close to the pool area. Sitting on the balcony was uncomfortable as you were staring at the folks working on the roof, and laying by the pool also was uncomfortable as you were looking at the folks working on something - not sure what it was. We were not informed of the work going on.
