Over-all it was a comfortable stay, the beds were quite hard and the general cleanliness needs attention, however, the location was fantastic. All linen was perfectly clean. We loved the open fireplace. Plenty of heating available and the dry room dried our clothes perfectly with the heating turned on. The spa bath doesn't work and the bathroom is very cramped - not ideal for more than 3 or 4 people at a time to stay here. Oven was extremely dirty, we had to wash dishes and clean oven racks before using. The top floors creak very loudly - this is to be expected for the type of building it is. Not a big issue. The ease of access to the learner slopes and the local pub/restaurants was brilliant. Parking is tight if you have a large 4x4/vehicle. With some maintenance, mattress refresh and cleaning this would be a solid 4-star place to stay and far more comfortable. Host had good communication - no issues there and check-in was very simple.
