The Blue Jay Getaway is conveniently located within walking distance of the city of Blanco where you will find local shopping, dining, and breweries. Added bonus: Furry friends are welcome for an additional fee. Traveling with family and friends? The Blue Jay Getaways sister property, the Hayday Getaway, is just across the way and offers accommodations for four as well.
You’ll know you’ve arrived at the Blue Jay Getaway when you see the bright blue door that inspired the home’s name. The beautiful cedar porch creates a warm welcome with its adorable hanging flowers and a lovely wooden bench. This will surely be the perfect place to sit and enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the morning.
Once inside, the kitchen cabinets follow the blue theme and create a bright touch in the home. Guests will find plenty of counter space with all of the conveniences to cook their favorite meals. The open-plan kitchen and living room creates a great space where conversations will flow easily among a group. Pull up the stools located in the entryway and there will be plenty of seating for all.
Not looking to entertain? Cozy up on the plush leather couches and watch a classic movie or your favorite sports team. The seating arrangement of the living area facilitates a great environment for game night with the family, or conversation and laughter with old friends. For additional sleeping, the sofa opens to a queen bed.
The Blue Jay bedroom will provide a restful night’s sleep before the next day’s activities. This bedroom hosts a beautiful cherry wood queen bed frame and soft linens. A matching chest of drawers provides ample storage for your clothing and personal items during your stay. The lovely bathroom provides the perfect space to freshen up. Enjoy getting ready sitting at the vintage vanity, which also has storage for makeup or toiletries.
If you are traveling with the kiddos, they will love the upstairs loft! Bring along some sleeping bags and it provides the perfect place to cuddle up together for a bedtime story before bed. If it rains during your stay, you will certainly enjoy the calming sound of rain on the tin roof.
Visitors will not be disappointed, as there is plenty to see and do in the Hill Country. With all that this home has to offer, you’ll feel anything but “blue” at the Blue Jay Getaway!
