Large modern villa with 4 large bedrooms , multiple sleeping options for family groups. With a wrap around verandah and ranch sliders from downstairs living areas and bedroom you can access the north facing, beautiful and well established gardens and lawns. Enjoy the amazing sunsets and night sky gazing. Nearby Woodend beach is great for swimming in summer and the woodland beach reserve trail can be walked or biked from Woodend all the way through Pegasus to Waikuku. The home's quiet rural setting with established trees and gardens, contains an abundance of mature plant species including Rhododendrons, Camelias, Pin oaks, Maples, Dogwoods, flowering Cherries, Roses and Hydrangeas which provide a haven for native birds. Listen for the tui , fantail , quail and pheasant's call. With a rural outlook on all sides , but 5 minutes from the main highway and just 5 - 10 minutes from Kaiapoi, Woodend and Rangiora townships. The best of both worlds!

Lovely clean and spacious home

It was lovely to stay in this beautiful home. Margaret put flowers in vases before we arrived and we could literally "stop and smell the roses". The house was big enough for me to have a break from my husband snoring - I could sleeping downstairs! Best sleep i have had in years.

Rural Retreat

This property was like staying in someone's home. There were personal touches ie fresh flowers in vases. Lots of spaces around the wrap around deck to sit either peacefully alone or joining the group.A walk around the grounds told a story of a once loved garden that still held good bones and structure.

We are semi retired and enjoy the quiet country life, fresh air and peace that having a semi rural property offers us. This property is close to Christchurch city , just 20-25 minutes away and to the main arterial routes to Rangiora , Kaiapoi and Woodend, just 5 minutes away. So we have the benefit of easy access to services, shops etc combined with a quiet rural lifestyle. There are multiple walking and cycling tracks nearby , the beach is 5 minutes up the road , and cafes , bars , restaurants and wineries within a few kms.

Why they chose this property

A quiet, peaceful, rural outlook with all services and main roads nearby .
The best of both worlds and space to spread out relax. Large living areas and multiple bathrooms to accommodate larger family groups , extended family etc with ease.

What makes this property unique

Amazing night sky. Warm log fire for cold winter nights with free firewood supplied, as well as a heat pump.
Walking , cycling tracks to explore the area, beaches and swimming pools nearby.
Easy access to main highway North to visit Hanmer Springs , Wineries etc as well all the other local attractions .20 minutes into Chrischurch City to Margaret Mahy playground, the city tram loop, the hot water pools at New Brighton, boating on the Avon, Willowbank wildlife centre and Orana Park for the young ones. Or the shopping , Riverside Market, the gondola and Adrenalin Forest for young and old alike.
