The surroundings are natural and idyllic, in a private setting. The owner responded promptly to all our questions. He went over and above to ensure our stay was comfortable.
What a fantastic way to spend a secluded, tranquil vacation with family and/or friends. Easy access to the Grotto, Singing Sands and Tobermory. However there were many fun options for spending the day at the cottage including kayaking, swimming, fishing or sitting by the fire. Absolutely recommended!
We did as asked re flushing. Since there were five of us the odour of urine was difficult to beat. Maybe every five or six uses would help.

Hi Judy, thanks for going easy on our septic tank. To be clear though, there's no hard-and-fast rule for flushing - if it smells, flush it! I just try to point out to people that flushing every time is not necessary. Seems to be working as our septic has been running great without any issues for quite some time.
Quiet and clean with space to spare. Our host left a lovely greeting with thoughtful gifts, maps and instructions. We will be staying again.

About the host
Hosted by Dan Skeen
I love to travel, and I've enjoyed being a host for other people's travel experiences. I absolutely love the Bruce Peninsula and Tobermory area and have lots of tips and advice to share for travellers.
Why they chose this property
I had always wanted to have a place near Tobermory, on the Lake Huron side. Waterfront was essential. We bought our cottage about five years ago and put in a lot of work to fix it up. So glad we did - it's our oasis away from the city.
What makes this property unique
It is so quiet and peaceful. Most often you'll hear nothing but the waves lapping on the shoreline.
