Thank you for your generous review! Joelyn and her family were very kind and considerate guests. Their communication was very good and I hope to host them again in the future!
This property is in a great location, well-supplied with sheets, towels, and kitchen appliances. The property is very comfortable and a nice place to spend time.
Had everything we needed. Loved the turntable and all the records for our 70's era. Kitchen was great. Their was a bit of street noise at night. Stairs to the second floor apartment were steet which could be problem for elderly or disabled. No closet in one of the bedrooms and so hanging clothes was a problem.

From the owner: "Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry you found the front stairs steep. It is a classic detail of these old Milwaukee apartments, which is why I also provided the code to the side door stairs, since they are much less steep. The lack of a closet in our front bedroom is also a characteristic of this 1927-style apartment building. There is a hanging space and plenty of hangers in the rear bedroom and in the closet off the living room."
The apartment has everything and the host was amazing! The queen bed was extremely comfortable and every room was filled with special touches. The communication was top notch!
We used this property as our base of operations for our son’s weeklong fencing tournament. It was very convenient to downtown (Baird Center, Art Museum) and surrounding areas. The owner’s instructions were incredibly detailed and helpful. Lots of seating and plenty of space to spread out. Tons of linens and towels. If you’re from a warmer climate and used to central air, managing with the portable ACs/windows may be a challenge during heat waves. Traffic noise is noticeable on weekend nights, but white noise may help.
Nancy was absolutely wonderful & communicated with me the whole time. She answered all of my questions & was super accommodating. The property itself felt very quaint & cozy. It was fully stocked with everything we needed & more, which made our stay very stress free.

Everything we needed, great location
The host made everything easy for us in terms of getting checked in and checking out. The rental had everything we needed at felt very much like our personal home. Parking was easy and off street. Walking distances to breweries and restaurants. Very easy access to the various trail systems such as the oak leaf trail. Felt safe and had a great time. We would not hesitate to return.
Clean and comfortable, decorated with taste and humor, within walking distance (if you like to walk as much as we do) to everything important to us. Plenty of fresh towels and linens, well appointed kitchen, comfortable (soft plush) beds. Quiet within although located on a busy corner, this was the respite we wanted. We invited family over for dinner and game night. We all felt at right at home.
We loved our stay at this apartment! Nancy was quick to respond to my questions and helped make our arrival easy and comfortable. We really appreciated the three air conditioner units provided to keep us cool during our stay.
We didn't have to worry about street parking with the provided parking spot behind the house. The apartment has plenty of seating space to hang out, books to read, games to play, and records to listen to. We recommend visiting the local coffee shop, Colectivo, just up the street.
I really loved this apartment, so cozy and homelike. It felt like all the things I like best about classic Milwaukee homes. My mom and I enjoyed relaxing in the sun room and lounging in the living room. It came with everything we needed. The property manager was super nice and helpful, always reachable by text. Great location, handy to the east side and everything Riverwest has to offer. The only downsides were some noise at night from street racers, and the house always felt a bit cold. There is a sign asking you not to turn the thermostat above 70, and we were always a little chilly. It was still a wonderful stay, though, I’d definitely stay here again.

From the owner: "Thank you, Kelly, for your kind words and for staying with your mom for Mother’s Day weekend at our flat! We hope to host you again soon."
I recently stayed at this delightful apartment and had a wonderful experience. The property is in an older house, which adds to its charm and character. The eclectic decor throughout the apartment made it feel unique and cozy, giving it a distinctive personality that’s hard to find in more modern accommodations.
The amenities were excellent—everything was fully stocked, from the kitchen essentials to the bathroom supplies. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like having plenty of fresh towels, a coffee maker, and even some basic pantry items. It made my stay feel just like home. There is no central air, however there are portable AC units in each room.
The location was also a big plus. The apartment is conveniently close to a bus stop, which made it easy to hop on and head into downtown Milwaukee.
Only cons might be the beds. If you like firm a firm mattress, you won’t find it here as the beds were very soft (which i didn’t mind). There are also steep stairs to get into the apartment as it’s on the
We loved our stay here! Nice park and river walk is nearby. Roadwork was going on but it wasn’t too bad. There was a parking space for us, which was amazing to have while staying in Milwaukee! Would stay again!
We had a great stay here! The host was very responsive and super helpful. The location was perfect for our family. Local neighborhood feel with restaurants, breweries, playgrounds within walking distance. We'd definitely stay here again!
Nice relaxing place! Thoroughly enjoyed the property!!
This is a quaint historic apartment on an upper floor. Ability to climb stairs needed! Beds are super comfy but not firm (thankfully since I dislike such firm beds!).
Nancy the owner was a pleasure to work with and VERY accommodating. We reached out to our contact person via phi epsilon and email first and did not hear back right away but the owner, Nancy, was very quick to respond, friendly and positive! We ended up not being able to check into our next destination until two hours after check out at 11 and Nancy was willing to accommodate us for an extra two hours. The abode was fully furnished and had everything we needed and more. This included amazing and interesting reading material, a printer and kitchen ware. There is nothing this property does not have. They really thought of everything. I enjoyed our quiet stay in Milwaukee and it was a pleasure meeting the owner of the property. Although she was in California, we never felt an answer wasn’t a text or call away. The downstairs tenants were nice and quiet. Exactly what we were looking for. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks Nancy!
Perfect, cozy, artistic flat for a weekend away! We didn’t use the kitchen, but it would be a great place to cook your own meals. Within ten minutes drive to nightlife, lakefront, and restaurants. Unique, eclectic local eating places nearby.
Great location away from downtown but still has the hubbub
This was a great spot for us to have a quick drive or even walk to some excellent food and drink spots. Also was not too far from the Kettle-Morraine State Park which was beautiful in the fall. Be aware this is on a fairly busy intersection and the windows do not block all the traffic noise in the living room so bring ear plugs if you plan on sleeping in the living room.
