A home away from home

We had a wonderful stay at the Fig Tree Farm with my two kids (ages 7 and 9), and it was truly a soul-refreshing experience. The farm was clean, peaceful, and full of charm. The kids loved interacting with the animals and had such a great time exploring. They especially enjoyed meeting Lydia, our host, who was incredibly hospitable and friendly — they even made a new friend in her! This stay was not just relaxing but also heartwarming. Highly recommended for anyone who wants time away from the city!

Authentic farmstay with modern touches

Loved waking up to the smell of fresh air and fresh bread every morning. It was a very comfortable farmstay with nice touches. We traveled with children, and everyone loved interacting with the animals on the farm! The animals were very tame and friendly. The highlight of our farmstay was definitely collecting our own freshly-laid eggs and baking our own bread (with a bread machine which was super easy to use) everyday. The kids were kept busy with many toys that were graciously provided by our host, Lydia. Lydia was very patient, helpful and responsive to many of our questions before and during our stay. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows with the fire that Lydia helped set up on one of the nights. This was probably the best farmstay that our family had experienced so far!

Highly recommended for families with young children

The farm tree stay was the best choice made for our trip to Brisbane. Lydia was very welcoming to give us a full tour of the lodge and its amenities. Each morning, the girls would wake and rush to the chicken coup! We will also made sure to be back at 4pm everyday, so that the girls could feed the baby goats! Lydia went the extra mile to ensure that the girls could find eggs in the coop. Fresh eggs for breakfast is a winner. Coupled with fresh bread! When our laundry got caught in the rain, Lydia helped us with spinning it in a dryer. Best host ever! Oh ya, do walk down to the creek. You will be charmed! Ps: The pantry is very well stocked with Asian sauces and condiments if you intend to cook. 👍🏼

A Terrific Farm Stay

Fig Tree Farm was a terrific place to enjoy for all of our 3 family generations. Our young grandkids were totally spoilt by our wonderful host, Lydia, who went out of her way to make our stay very memorable. Nothing was too much trouble. The grandkids (& adults)loved collecting the chicken eggs , bottle feeding the gorgeous ‘kids’ ,Billy & Beau, the cows, sheep, ducks & guinea pigs. Lazing in the creek at the end of the property was a great way to cool off & for the children to explore. Lydia even had a special surprise with sharing her newest addition, Goldilocks, the duckling. The modern air-conditioned house so close to Brisbane, was a home away from home. The bread maker was popular with hot bread in the mornings & the grandkids were happily playing with a cupboard full of toys when it was time to escape the summer heat outside. We would highly recommend Fig Tree Farm stay.
