Kookaburra Nest Cashmere
Welcome to our beautiful home, surrounded by greenery and wildlife, where kookaburras laugh and possums play hide and seek.
Wake up to birds singing, enjoy a cup of tea around a cozy fireplace in winter, or share stories and baked potatoes around the bonfire outside.
Walking distance to nearby shops.
Very well-equipped kitchen.
If you are a nature lover and looking to escape busy urban life, while staying close to it, our home is for you:).

The space
Our house is located on a block of a bit less than an acre, surrounded by lawns, leafy gardens, and wildlife. It has 2 undercover parking spots and more on the driveway.
The house is fully dog-fenced with an entrance gate that can be shut if needed. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with two showers (one in master bedroom), 2 living rooms with fireplace and TV, kids corner with huge blackboard on the wall and study desk, separate laundry and beautiful spacious kitchen that will make you want to cook:).
It can accommodate up to 9 adults or up to 7 adults and 4 kids. In one of the rooms, we have 2 single Ikea stackable beds that can be converted to 4 lower single beds for kids and can be added to other bedrooms or a
the living room.
The house is located on an elevated hill, so there are some stairs down to veggie garden and an outside firepit.
Guest access
You have access to the whole house and the gardens.
The house is safe for kids but please note, there is a little pond in the back yard apprx 20cm deep with no fence and a tree platform next to parking, so please supervise your children while outside.
Other things to note
We are located in the very quiet area,so please note: no parties,big gatherings or excessive noise. We do respect our neighbours and our wildlife and prefer to keep our place for someone who appreciates those qualities too. We have no noise policy after certain hours so please read the rules.
We are dog friendly, please confirm with us before you book. Please note, dogs are not allowed on furniture and beds and there is a fee to cover the cleaning after.
We have septic tank in place,therefore we use eco products for cleaning and washing. All our products are organic and grey water friendly to maintain our own health and also healthy bacteria inside the septic tank. We also have fruit trees on the property that are watered by grey water. When you request the booking, please add details about your trip and who is coming with you and read through the house rules so no surprises for you and me:).

Cashmere is located in North Brisbane and is beautiful place, peaceful and green, full of wildlife, rivers and creeks. We are close to Cedar creek (very popular swimming hole spot), Samford Village , only 30 min away from city.
What makes this property unique
This home is a true retreat, while located in the busy suburbia, you won’t hear it. Surrounded by trees and wildlife, you have time to sit back and relax and immerse into healing nature.
