Very unique house: if you dont mind stairs and steps, this place is for you. :) It was a nice area around the lake and we had a good time. Hosts were very accomodating and nice.

Our Blueberry Fest Stay

Beautiful comfy place to stay! Everything we needed was there. So close to Plymouth IN made it the perfect house to rent for the fest. House was clean, comfy. My grown kids loved it!

fun on the 4th

spent the 4 of July at the house and had a nice time. Wonderful community just wish there were opportunities to rent boats and other water craft. Also enjoyed traveling to South Bend and the attractions available.

Great place!!

We had 5 adults and had a great time. It was very clean and had the basic amenities. A bike ride around the lake is about 4 miles. As the description states you would need to carefully watch young children. Also might be difficult for someone that has trouble with stairs. We would definitely recommend.

Beautiful property

Had a wonderful weekend stay at the property. We had 4 adults, 4 kids and a baby comfortably fit in the home. There was a pack-n-play & high chair available to use for the baby that came in handy. Kitchen was fully equipped. WiFi helped with poor cell phone reception in the area. We had a fire in the pit outside for hotdogs and s'more's. The hot tub was not open for the season to use but hoping we can use on our next visit there. The yard goes right up to the dock & lake. Only complaint was that the heat definitely rises in the house, the kitchen/ dining area did get very warm during the day and did not cool down quickly other wise great find and will definitely be making another trip there in the summer to enjoy the lake.

Perfect location!

Family is very close on the lake front. The house was nice & easily accommodated our group of 7 and the location was perfect. The frustrating part was a lack of hot water. Two attempts were made on the main floor shower with no luck. The upstairs shower had intermittent warm water. We eventually showered at my sister’s lake house ~ they were accomdating 10 extra guests so that was a bit challenging but it worked. I found no way to message anyone, just a live chat option that was not convenient especially when you are out on the water all the time.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The issue with the hot water was due to a valve on the outside shower that was turned on, causing a mix of hot and cold water. We've now labeled this valve as "Do Not Use" to prevent this from happening in the future- We wish you had reached out us (the Guest Contact in your check-in instructions) during your stay. Mostly good, some bad

The good: This property has a really cool fantasy tavern/cabin vibe. It has some nice views of the lake and the grounds look nice as well. One of the bedrooms has a really unique window with neat views. It was easy to find and check in was a breeze. Also, it was nice and quiet at night while we were sleeping. The bad: The house has a bit of a smell when entering. It’s not too overpowering and you become nose blind to it soon but my 3 year old kept saying “it smells like great grandmas house” There is also a natural fiber rug in the living room (currently) that was FULL of hair.I knelt down to help my son with his pajamas and my dark pants were covered in little fibers and hairs. We only stayed one of the two nights because my son was having allergic reactions to it.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -We have never had any issues with a bad odor in the home nor did the cleaning team report anything during their cleaning. While we try to accommodate all guests with clean features, we also are very thoughtful about not using harsh chemicals at and near our rental. Every year we use a healthier approach by using non-toxic sprays. -After your departure, the cleaners went to inspect the property. They did not detect any musty odor. We want every guest to have a great experience, and if something's not as expected we'll do our best to remedy it -We strive to provide all the information necessary for our guests and we have a no-pet policy for our listing. We had our host check the property for these issues, however, they found no concerns to resolve. We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate occurrence of allergies to the rug. The rug is a natural fiber that can release fibers that look similar to hair. It is not a common occurrence and we've never seen anyone suffer from that, we're sorry this impacted your stay We apologize for your experience and we want all of our guests to have a great stay, and we're sorry this wasn't the case. If there is ever anything we can do to make sure your stay is great, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Just ok

This house is very unique. The layout is one I've never seen before. The owner has definitely done some updating, but some more are needed. Most everything was very clean, except the kitchen. There was quite a bit of food in the fridge/freezer and cupboards and the fridge was not clean. Also found a fully loaded, but still dirty dishwasher. Luckily, we didn't plan on eating any food at the house, but went out for every meal so didn't need any dishes. Not much to do in immediate area. Might be nice in summer when you can utilize the lake. The owner was very nice, though when we had to call. Very personable and helpful. Overall, it served it's purpose as a getaway for our anniversary, but not sure we would return.

Family Getaway

This is my second year of hosting a family getaway. It's their main Christmas gift from me. We're a close family, but our busy lives make it hard to all get together, so we get very excited for this! The house accommodated the eight of us perfectly and actually, the top bunk never got used, because two chose the huge sectional couch in the living room. The dining room is small and only seats six, but the kitchen is attached and has two bar stools at the nearby counter. We talked about next year already and will most likely book this house again! But this time, we'll opt for late summer, when we can enjoy the lake, which is literally a stone's throw from the back yard!

Cozy lake cabin

Very enjoyable stay in this delightfully quaint cabin just south of South Bend on a family trip to a Notre Dame game. Impeccably clean. The pictures on the site are very accurate. Plenty of room for the four of us. Outdoor deck with view of the lake. Kitchen is very well appointed. Large and relaxing family room. Our group was sorry we had to spend so much time in South Bend, because we would have loved to relax a few more days in this cabin. Would certainly return again.

Family Vacation

The property is spacious and nicely decorated with new and vintage decor and lamps. The upstairs bedroom is good for elderly parents and grandparents as they can avoid using the steps that lead to the downtown bathroom/ bedrooms. The downstairs has a 2nd refrigerator which is great for guests staying downstairs and cooking outside. The neighbors are polite and the view is amazing. We had a great time and the kids got lucky enough to get a treat from the ice cream truck.

We had a great stay, perfect for our family to hang out, cook, watch movies and play games inside while the winter chilly weather was outside! The place is very clean. Loved that the host had coffee pods/cream/sugar available and all of the paper products for the house as well as soaps in the showers. We would stay here again!

Charming lake house Christmas

We met my sister’s family here for our Christmas visit. We’re both from the area originally and it was nice to be near our hometown again. This is definitely one of the most unique properties I have ever stayed at. It oozes character and charm and just quirky enough to be unforgettable. It is cozy, was very clean, well stocked with all the kitchen essentials and supplies we needed. The host, Ryan, was easy to talk to and very responsive to our questions. We stayed in the winter this time but we’d love to stay again when we can make use of the amazing deck and outdoor spaces!

Relaxing Getaway

My adult son and I hadn’t seen each other for quite a while and we needed to get away from it all as we both live in the big city. We were delighted to find this gem In the countryside with everything we needed. Loved multiple places to relax outdoors, a comfy updated living room with a smart TV and well stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. Communication with the hosts was excellent.
