We enjoyed our four nights at the cabin.
There were very few negatives to speak of. But, in the interest of full disclosure to future guests, please know;
*The road to the cabin is not for the faint of heart. The last quarter of a mile is paved but it is narrow and steep. If there is winter weather during your stay, leaving may be an issue.
* The frying pans in the kitchen were badly abused and the nonstick surfaces were peeling out.
* The pillows on the bed were pretty flat.
* If you are choosing this cabin because of its proximity to the blue ridge parkway and hiking, make sure you know that weather won’t close the parkway. During our stay, unfortunately, it was.
HOWEVER.... the positives for this cabin dramatically outweigh the negatives. The cabin was clean and well cared for. Even the interior smelled like new! The hot tub was fantastic at the end of each day. We enjoyed being away from crowds. The appliances all seemed new and were great, and it was nice to be able to wash a few things during our stay.
Most importantly, during our stay, the area’s power went out unexpectedly. While this is totally beyond the control of the property owners, they were quick to help us with the problem and maintained contact as it was resolved. It was good to know they took the resolution so seriously.
We would definitely stay here again, and we hope to.
