About the host
Hosted by Patty Squires

This is such a beautiful area where my children and I did a lot of camping when they were small. One of my sons settled here after going to UNCA where he met his wife.
He found this property for me, and I bought it just from seeing the photos. There was a small house and two out buildings that he completely rebuilt, and since I love making a warm and welcoming home I decided to rent the 2 cottages to vacationers.

Why they chose this property
The property is very unique with a large, natural pond and small mountain stream. A dock over the pond, deck surrounding the cabin, and fireside seats and benches provide quaint comfort to enjoy the views and bask in the beauty of the inspiring Blue Ridge Mountains. There is so much tranquility here and yet you are only minutes from downtown Asheville.
What makes this property unique
I knew I had made the right decision to retire here from the first time I stepped onto the property. It just felt like the home I had always dreamed of.
