Top O' The Knob, Private Entrance, Romantic Getaway, Private Deck, and Fire Pit

Your own private entrance, deck, suite, spa bath, double shower, lounging area, eating area, and fire pit for our guests.

Our guests confirm that WE ARE CLOSE TO EVERYTHING!

As we move into our tenth year with Vacation Rentals, our goal remains the same: To provide our guests with a safe location to stay and super clean accommodations. We use the recommendations of the CDC for disinfecting between each visiting guest. We use plush towels, hand towels, and wash cloths.

We have three new features to ensure our guests have an exceptional time in Asheville. First, we have added a fire pit with supplied fire wood provided as an optional feature and for a slight additional fee. Second, we now have a whole house generator so our guests have an uninterrupted power source while here. And, third, we just installed a new mini-split air conditioning unit so guests have complete control over their room temperature and can be comfortable year around.

When you stay with us, we look out for you…we turn on extra lights when you come and go and we’ll help you with anything you might need while you’re here. As many of our guests have stated in their reviews, we are close and easily accessible to everything in the Asheville area. In addition to Asheville, we’re midway between Black Mountain and Cherokee in the Great Smoky Mountains. Many of our guests have commented that our suite is bigger than the picture looks – it is over 500 square feet! We offer high-end bedding with a NEW pillow-top mattress, separate seating area, a dining table, hotel quality bath linens and bath amenities, large spa tub bath and separate double shower, and private deck/porch with lovely views of the mountains. Paved entrance and reserved parking allow guests to come & go as they please. For your entertainment while lounging in your seating area or from your bed, we offer Charter Spectrum Live Streaming Television, Hulu, Prime Video, Paramount Plus, and others. For your listening pleasure, Spectrum offers multiple music channels, and free WIFI. Also in the suite is a DVD player, microwave oven, Keurig Coffee Maker, and refrigerator/freezer. Uber Cab and Lyfte are available to and from the location at 72 Candler Knob Road, Asheville. 28806. We have well over 300 five-star reviews from VRBO and other rental sites. A Bit o'Fun

The Top O'the Knob is just as described. It was a tranquil location to use as home base while visiting the area. Ken and Patti greeted me warmly when I arrived.

First VRBO Experience

Top O the Knob

Comfortable and quiet are two things that come to mind as I review our stay. Ken and Patti where great hosts! We stayed here while visiting the Biltmore Estate and it was smooth 15-20 minute drive each way.

Great Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay here. Such a relaxing place. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with our morning coffee to start each day, and ending the busy day of hiking with a glass of wine, watching the sun go down with an awesome Mountain View. Ken and Patti are great hosts. We hope to return and maybe see the fall foliage, which would be stunning!

Cozy Room on the edge of Ashville

We were in town to visit the Biltmore and explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Room and property are perfectly maintained by Ken and Patti. The hosts were very helpful with location and attractions information in the Ashville area. This is is a nice quite location just minutes from anywhere in Ashville. Good access to the Biltmore or to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Ashville next.

Our stay could not have been better. The chalet was beautiful and the owners went out of their way to make us happy. It was peaceful, relaxing, and quiet. We slept as well as we do at home. 5 STARS!!!

Perfect Asheville Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay all around. The room was larger than anticipatedand. We really enjoyed the covered porch and the jacuzzi tub. We were close to downtown but also felt like we got the mountain cabin experience. Ken and Patti were very nice and friendly but also allowed us our privacy. Definitely recommend if you're staying near Asheville, and we'll certainly be back. Thank y'all!

Cozy retreat and misty mornings

We absolutely loved the warm, intimate and cozy feel of the place amidst nature which was a much-needed break from the monotony of city life. Patti and Ken's thoughtful gesture of trying to ensure we have a safe arrival following up with a brief introduction to Asheville added a personal touch to our stay. If we ever find ourselves planning a visit to Asheville, we sure would think of their place and would recommend to our family and friends as well. We definitely felt at home and rested.

My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary trip stay. The hosts were courteous and helpful at all times. The space was larger than we thought it would be based on the pictures. Awesome time!

We had the best time in Asheville and did so much in the short weekend we stayed. Top O’ the Knob was very cute and quaint. I would love to come back in the fall because we could see mountains through the trees but without leaves, I’m sure it’s even more beautiful. Patti has a beautiful garden to view during summer months though and even offered some fruits from her garden. The bed is amazing by the way! And patti and ken were great hosts with a lot of information and recommendations. I would definitely stay again!

Perfect!

Top O’ the Knob is just as described. Very cute, comfortable, peaceful and well maintained. We enjoyed our evenings on the porch with a nice view of some mountains and beautiful sunsets. The bed is so comfortable that we both slept like babies. We did use Lyft one evening into town. They offered a reasonable price for our ride as Uber was charging triple the cost. Ken and Patti are marvelous hosts. Will stay with them again when we return to the area.

Ken moved to the area in 1982 from Florida, and Patti arrived 10 years later. We met in 1996 and have been together ever since. In 2007, we bought our West Asheville home on the top of our Knob because of the spectacular view and privacy. Ken retired in 2008, and Patti is semi-retired. Patti is a part-time potter and has her studio in the basement of the home. Ken enjoys photography, and we both love to travel and are scuba divers. We love to host our guests at The Top O' The Knob Chalet, and hope to meet and help our guests learn more about Asheville. We've been hosting Guests since 2015 and we'd love to have you stay with us!
