About this property

A unique, tranquil and roomy 1350 sq' comfy single story loft with sooo many options - close to hiking, skiing, fishing, rafting, restaurants plus Asheville Art Scene. Grocery & restaurants less than 5 miles up the road. Relax at an Organic Farm right on the beautiful Ivy River and see Asheville from the coveted North Side - private & quiet w/views, gardens, clean air & water, free secure parking, hi-speed wifi & only 2 miles from interstate. The Loft at Laughing River Farm not only offers a comfortable, spacious retreat for guests, but also has many amenities and unique features. The Loft is a waterfront property, less than 100 yards from the Ivy River, where you can tube, swim, fish, or enjoy a stroll along the river. The Loft is located next to Laughing River Farm, where you can purchase fresh tomatoes, squash, asparagus, greens, shiitake mushrooms, fresh eggs, and other vegetables in season, all organically grown right outside your door.

The Loft also features custom kitchen cabinetry. The cabinets and drawers in our kitchen are made from Walnut right from our backyard, and were designed and built by a local master carpenter, Ira Kohn. While your time inside our loft is sure to be lovely, we love being outdoors, which is why the back deck spans the entire length of the Barn. The deck is a great place to eat, drink, and be merry while listening to the sound of birds and the Ivy River.

We will be providing basics to make your stay here enjoyable and comfortable. Linens and towels are provided. The Loft offers complimentary coffee and tea, soap, shampoo.

Free parking at the front door is included. There are a few steps up to the front porch. You may walk around the property, please see the map in our notebook for details.

Your 1 well behaved dog is welcome with a $25 extra cleaning fee. If you are bringing a dog, please refer to our Pet Policy and be sure you can agree to everything before booking. Thank you!!

Excellent weekend getaway

My family made a last minute decision to have a mountain weekend and go snow tubing. The house was perfect for this. The home is super clean and located in a nice quiet area and proximity to Ivy Creek was awesome. Would love to come back and try trout fishing in the creek.

Picture Perfect

Sarah was very accommodating and the area was perfect for my stay of 2 days(wish it were longer) The area was beautiful with Ivy River at the end of the property. I came from CA and needing to relax and that's what I was able to do along with a beautiful walk on the country road. Things were very clean and nice. I would love to come back and stay longer!

Best Place Yet

We have explored quite a number of places in North Carolina, and this was the very best we have found! Super clean, perfectly located, an oasis for the soul! The place feels like home, and the scenery is breathtaking. We will be returning time after Time!

Lovely, light filled retreat at the Loft.

We had a delightful time at the spacious Loft. Each room was well appointed with everything you might need. There were quaint, easy to understand notes through out the home The beds were comfortable and the rooms could be darkened for a restful nights sleep. Views were spectacular. All in all it was a wonderful visit.
